Today in #fallforcostume : #fantasy !!! . . When I was maybe five, my parents tried to read the series to my brother and I, but they only read one chapter every night!!! It was TORTURE!!! So I started reading chapter books so I could read ahead... . . My dad learned quickly that nothing—not even a month long camping adventure—would stand between me and Harry Potter, when I made him stop at every Costco we passed between Yellowstone and Glacier on the day the fifth book came out, it was out of stock at so many places!! . . All the other fantasy things came after that. Because I loved Harry Potter so much, I was always looking for new fantasy worlds like that one, and that really shaped who I am and the things I’m interested in. Harry Potter is really the reason that I’m so into all these beautiful nerdy things that make me so happy. . . But don’t talk to me about Cursed Child, that’s not canon and no one can convince me otherwise. . .
