when you start a costume but don't finish it, then come back to it six months later to realize it doesn't fit anymore because you gained weight 😆

I just saw an influencer post that it’s not to late to start cosplay and they first started talking about working out and changing their diet
None of it is required to start the hobby
In fact, bullshit like that reinforces the bullying of all cosplayers with bigger bodies
Media lacks diversity of body types and it’s unfair. So many people don’t have a chance to have a screen accurate body. And it shouldn’t be a cosplay goal anyways?!
The way a body looks depends on so many factors, including physical and mental health, genetics, financial means, life‘s stressors - ITS A LOT ABOUT LUCK AND PRIVILEGE!
