We all start somewhere and while some may start off with a natural talent, no one ever starts off perfect or excellent. Please don’t be so hard on yourself, also, please remember others how might seem like masters of their craft or profession also started off as a beginner and honed their skills to work for them, so while hard at times, also try not to compare yourself to someone else’s chapter. ⠀ .⠀ Many of us are so hard on ourselves for not being at a certain level yet, that we forget the perseverance and journey it takes to build yourself up. Allow yourself to be a beginner and appreciate how much you GET to learn. Parents Response To Cosplay: Here’s how the conversation went. “Mom remember the cosplay I told you about?” “Yeah, what about it?” “I think I want to start doing it myself.” “Really?” “Yes.” “Nerd.” My Mother is actually really supportive and taught me how to sew years before I started cosplaying and still helps me. Doesn’t mean she’s stopped teasing or thinking it’s weird but it’s okay :)
