JQJEHBTBGJTJRJDJ! I'm so honored headcanons to do the iconic Lex!!
• Firstly: Their trio I have affectionately dub as the Twilight Rebels as their primary colors (Red, Pink, Purple) is the Twilight zone and they all say 'Fuck you' to the Gods and any authoritarian figures in their lives
• Of course, our lovely Leo Valdez is a t-boy with (loser/affec) swag, Mara is my silly enby moon child, and Lex is our flowery transmasc genderfluid friend
• DORKY THREE, DORKY THREE, DORKY THREE—
• Oh you thought these guys told a bunch of bad jokes and puns, ain't no WAY is anyone ready for the amount of crazy jokes and sarcastic remarks they have on hand
• We got our L named shorties (Lex being 4,11 & Leo being 5,4) with our giant vamp queen (Mara currently being 5'8 & turning 5'11) who's basically the two's climbing tree and Moonie doesn't mind. They're carrying their friends in the arms, piggyback Lex and bridal carrying a flustered Leo, the whole deal
• Leo and Lex are hiding a "secretly in love with my best friend and believe it's unrequited love" support group between the two where they munch on nsacks and yap about their scary but sweetheart alt girl crushes (Percy and Mara)
• (Yes, I am supporting the transfem Percy hc: it's basically canon, SHE'S A SUPA COOL T-GIRL IN MY EYES!! FIGHT ME!)
• The cat lovers EVER! They're heading to any cat cafes available and getting the most disgustingly sweet drinks and pastries on the menu and petting every cat that comes near them
• BOBA TEA GROUP HANGS!!
• HERE ME OUT ABOUT THIS!! Graffiti Artist Leo!! @dontspillthefrijoles43 and I talked about this once and it's been engraved into my brain ever since
• Leo taking the two black girls out to New York to an abandoned area and showing Lex and Mara how to do Graffiti art (with safety gear, of course) and the three of them having BLAST with making cool ass art pieces (someone's making a Subway Surfers joke during this, trust)
• Mara shaking one of the pink spray cans so hard as a prank and give it to Lex, who tries using it but it explodes all over his arms and clothes. Mara giving but then gets sprayed with green paint as revenge but Leo also gets sprayed too and it all ends in the paint fight with all three teens coming back to camp covered in paint and laughing their asses off
• The curly haired teens EVA! There's are doing each other's hair, braiding, hair dying, the inside joks, the whole package
• COOKING! THEY COOK TOGETHER!! The three sharing foods from their childhood and cultures, carne pasda, mandazi, dumplings, etc
• Spice fiends, all of them are eating straight up HEAT!

• They are literally short older sister and tall younger sister <3
• Unrelated but whenever I think about Lex, my mind immediately goes to Amalia from Wakfu (I loved that show as a kid and it's still fire)
• Lex embroidering pretty purple flowers, moths, and star themed stuff onto Mara's jean jackets and Mara making paper stars, flowers and frogs for Lex (both of them take great care of their respective gifts)
• Whenever the three demigods are at arts n' crafts station together, they're coming out 300% more sparkly, all covered in pipe cleaners and stickers (normal occurrence for them) Even when Chiron tries to separate them, the trio always find a way to do arts n' crafts together. This happens so often that the centaur had given up separating the three
• Lex has a Polaroid where it's full of a bunch of photos of the Twilight Rebels hanging out and being chaotic
• LATE NIGHT CONVINCE STORE RUNS!
• All of them joke about their traumatic lives and giggles at the others shocked faces
• MARA SKETCHING ALL OF HER FRIENDS AND GIVING IT TO THEM, TRUST!! When she gave her newest drawing of Lex to him, Lex sobs and hugged them for 10 minutes
• Steampunk Leo, steampunk Leo, steampunk Leo—
• Movie nights>>> All of them watching their childhood movies (by 🏴☠️ of course) in an GIGANTIC blanket fort with fairy lights, throw pillows all huddled in Mara's cabin because it's more cozy
• All of them are dripped out with jewelry but having certain preferences. Leo liking necklaces, Mara enjoys bracelets, and Lex having a bunch of rings on his hands
• Whenever Maleo is being sweet together, Lex is (affectionately) making fun of them but the lovebirds get Petal back by going on and on about sappy and lovey dovey Lex and Percy were two days ago
• Okay so in my au, Mara is able to create this shadow animal creatures called Umbras and would 1000% make a bunny Umbra for Lex, who LOVES her new buddy and named him Mocha.
• NICKNAMES! Mara - Vamp Queen, Leo - Firefly, Lex - Gummy Bear
• Now I'amma switch things up to my selfship & oc x canon ship headcanons: Maleo! Also known as Cosmic Explosion and Night-flames
• Now as a plus size dark skin black girl, we need not only darkskinned black girls as love interests but also big girls that get to be whimsy and LOVED!
• From the moment Mara saved him and his friends from Dylan at the Grand Canyon, boy's been smitten with their cool and ethereal vibes
• Even with all of his attraction towards Thalia and Khione in TLH, his crush towards Mara never wavered. In fact, it grew stronger since Moonie's one of the few girls that genuinely enjoys his presense, laughs at his jokes, and
• And after watching Mara basically ripping that giant guy apart with ease and covered in ichor, this goober is officially locked in and down bad for the child of Nyx
• Due of Leo feeling like the demigod can't live up to society's warped ideal of a 'man' and not seen as pretty enough for Mara, the son of Prometheus believes that his friendship with the child of Nyx is the closest thing he'll have with them so Leo accepts his fate
• But that doesn't mean he won't try to woo them and do things to impress them (even when it ends in chaos)
• As for Mar-Mar, they only saw him as a friend in the beginning of HOO but started also developing feelings for the mechanic but thinking it was platonic
• And during those six months at CHB and with a special event I can't reveal (yet) Mara realizes that strange feeling in Moonie's stomach were actually romantic ones
• But she's oblivious to Leo's feelings about them sadly, thinking that his pick up lines and him acting all flirty towards the goth is him being silly or doing a bit
• By the time the Argo 2 heads for New Rome, the two are having a 'friends that constantly flirt with one another' thing going on
• These mofos have low self esteems and dumb as fuck. Bro, they are their OWN OBSTACLES IN THIS RELATIONSHIP
• Will they ever wise up and get together? (Yes)
• Okay, now general headcanons about their relationship
• MATCHING BRACELETS!! Mara and Leo wearing their partners colors (Red and Blue)

• Constantly parallel playing in the Bunker with Mara sketching and Leo creating of his chaotic inventions
• Okay, these two? Odysseus and Penelope's reincarnates. But Mara is Ody and Leo is Penelope!! ♡ (there are reasons why but it'll become an essay if I do it here so another time)
• Watching horror movies is top tier. Mara's ranting about the kills and Leo is going, "Yeah, I could survive thay' to any movie
• Leo 100% calls Mara 'Vamp Queen, Ruler of Darkness, Moony, Mar-Mar, and Estrella' while Mara calls Leo 'Night light, Doqon, Chulo, and Yaraeati,
• Mara is an affectionate biter and Leo is their #1 victim (don't save him—he's exactly where he wants to be)
• Maleo is a BBRae variant, more specifically Clarissabakery's version. Source? ME!
• Nap datessss!! The two leaning beneath the trees and just, staying there for majority of the day
• The couple's usual date spots: book stores, skate parks, abandoned places, convenience stores, comic stores, and thrift shops
• But the lovebirds most favorite thing to do is talk while being under the stars. It's where the two become the most vulnerable with one another because they *trust* each other

At the beginning of their relationship, Mara is constantly blushing and nervous around Leo cause it's her first proper relationship which makes things easier for the pointy eared boy to tease and flirt with his goth bae. But as time goes on, Mara becomes more confident and is able to turn the tables on Leo and make him combist into flames
