HI CORY!!! WOW thank you for this ask, I got mega super carried away with it so let me start by saying I READ UR ASK LAST NIGHT and proceeded to ask my Pokemon master friend @aroaceteddy what she thought and now it’s 8pm the next day and I’M STILL TALKING ABOUT IT, we’ve gone too far and I’ve drawn this and I even came up with a whole story thing HELP ME! Here tho:

Here’s my story no one asked for: so Julian's super, super excited to become a Pokemon trainer and he’s been studying Pokemon very diligently. He loves all Pokemon (cat ones especially) but he’s fond of grass types so he always knew he wanted it to be his starter! So he picks Snivy... he names all his Pokemon pretty cheesy descriptors so his Snivy is named “Greenie.” Unfortunately, much to Julian’s dismay, Greenie is pretty lazy and he would much rather lounge around than battle. If he’s out of his pokeball, a lot of times he stands under Julian’s bag to shade himself and keep out of the sun. Julian is mortified this has happened to him...

Landon only became a Pokemon trainer because he wanted to leave home and he chooses Oshawott because he thinks it’s cute (and, later, he only catches Pokemon he thinks are cute). He likes to give his Pokemon any name he can think of so, even though his Oshawott is female, he names her Travis. He doesn’t put her in a pokeball at all, instead he carries her around like a baby and they’re bff.

Anyway THAT’S ALL I’LL SAY LMAO *writes 900 pg Pokemon au essay JK* but I’ll leave you with this, I made this at 3AM and I was laughing so much all alone in the dark but this is truly why I had them pick Snivy/Oshawott:
