#corrupted transformers

I totally forgot to answer this! Sorry.

I did write it as a fic (had way more planned though, though I’ve wondered about doing some of it as a comic)

But currently they don’t know why people started corrupting or what originally caused it. It’s a mystery that people are trying to figure out. But it is something lingering in everyone and can potentially be triggered at any time. No one’s sure what causes it which mostly leads to everyone being suspicious of each other and growing more paranoid which is likely to lead to more people corrupting.

But when they corrupt... the first sign is vomiting up black bile, then the plating starts to change and they gradually morph into strange creatures. Everyone’s transformation is different, and they also gain some sort of additional power when they change. Starscream gets sonic screams, Ironhide gets invulnerable plating and Optimus is capable of controlling other corrupts.

Ahhhh! Thank you! Corrupted Optimus is one I struggled to draw but it’s mostly nailing down the image I have for him.

Nope! Much like corrupted gems in SU they have very little sense of their original self. However, they do all have shadows of their original personalities. Corrupted Tracks tries to protect an injured Raoul (though unfortunately by kidnapping him), Corrupted Starscream refuses to hurt Skyfire.

Perceptor was one of the bots I came up with a design for in the Corruption AU even though in the mains story I was never planning for him to corrupt (t’was an au of the au). But little corrupted Percy was based more on his alternate mode and was a crab/spider/microscope thing. He made a nest entirely out of datapads in the science lab and hides in there. He spends the day writing in the datapads and they’re incomprehensible scribbles. If you pass his nest he will gift you one.

Aha! He does! You see the thing was Soundwave was a character I’ve been intending to do a corrupt form of for a while now, I got an ask about it way back. But I kept getting stuck on the design. Seriously, I have like, four different designs for him. Though recently I came up with a design I was actually happy with. And hopefully when I’m less busy at work I’ll be able to polish it and post it up.

The idea for Soundwave corrupting though would be that after arriving on Earth he puts all of his time and energy into making sure that Megatron doesn’t corrupt, as he slowly becomes more erratic as things keep getting worse for the Decepticons. He keeps using his telekinetic powers to sooth Megatron’s mind and take all the burden of his anger and war war trauma onto himself. And gradually this all starts to take it’s own toll on Soundwave, but he continues to hide and is determined to only serve Megatron.

But it all kicks off when one of Soundwave’s own cassettes is injured and starts to corrupt. Since the standard Decepticon response to either take them to Shockwave for experimentation, or to put them out of their misery, Soundwave can’t bare the idea of that happening to one of his cassettes. And in trying to escape with the corrupted cassette he corrupts as well, gaining new powers (and probably TFP style tentacables) to try and escape with his cassettes. He also tries to hunt down the other cassettes as well, misguidedly believing he’s protecting them in this new form.

Oh no, I nearly forgot to upload something for Halloween. Well, last year I posted a Corruption AU snippet, and it’s been a while since I posted anything from that AU, so here’s something: Corrupted Tracks. - After an encounter with the Decepticons Raoul is badly injured, and Tracks becomes so worried for his human partner and tries to do something to save him, starting to turn in the process.

Raoul woke up slowly, his hair stuck to his face in a mixture of sweat and blood. As he tilted his head he remembered the cut he had on his forehead. Blood was still trickling down his face. His head ached and absolutely everything hurt.

"Where am I?" He coughed. Wherever here was it was incredibly dark. He was surprised to find he was sitting up. He seemed to be sitting inside a car. He looked out the windscreen to see it was parked in some dank disused alleyway. The only lighting come from one solitary light just above a set of dumpsters.

The only dingy light cast some distorted shadows into the interior of the car. Everything inside looked warped and distorted, like it wasn't really a car at all, but he trapped inside the belly of some sort of horrific metal creature.

He tried to get up but couldn't. He looked down to see he was tied up in the cars seat belts. They were tangled all around him and kept him pinned into the seat.
