Oh no, I nearly forgot to upload something for Halloween. Well, last year I posted a Corruption AU snippet, and it’s been a while since I posted anything from that AU, so here’s something: Corrupted Tracks.

After an encounter with the Decepticons Raoul is badly injured, and Tracks becomes so worried for his human partner and tries to do something to save him, starting to turn in the process.

Raoul woke up slowly, his hair stuck to his face in a mixture of sweat and blood. As he tilted his head he remembered the cut he had on his forehead. Blood was still trickling down his face. His head ached and absolutely everything hurt.
"Where am I?" He coughed. Wherever here was it was incredibly dark. He was surprised to find he was sitting up. He seemed to be sitting inside a car. He looked out the windscreen to see it was parked in some dank disused alleyway. The only lighting come from one solitary light just above a set of dumpsters.
The only dingy light cast some distorted shadows into the interior of the car. Everything inside looked warped and distorted, like it wasn't really a car at all, but he trapped inside the belly of some sort of horrific metal creature.
He tried to get up but couldn't. He looked down to see he was tied up in the cars seat belts. They were tangled all around him and kept him pinned into the seat.
He realised this had to be some weird Decepticon car that had kidnapped him. He started breathing faster, trying hard not to panic just yet.
"Aw shit, man," he whispered under his breath, "What is this?"
He started moving around, trying to get out of the restraints. Before the seatbelts suddenly tightened and pulled him back into the seat. It started feeling like it was squeezing the life out of him. This only caused him to panic and thrash about more.
"Someone help! Get me out of here!" He started shouting, kicking at the car and trying to escape.
The radio turned itself on, blaringly loud and almost deafening rock music. He kept kicking and thrashing about as the music continued to blast out.
Raoul froze and curled up as he waited for the creature was going to eat him or crush him or something. He clamped his eyes shut, not wanting to see what would happen next.
"What do you want with me?" he called out to the demonic car.
He waited and waited, and nothing happened.
The song finished and then another one played. As Raoul's complete panic started to fade he realised he knew both those songs and the order they came in. They were for the mix tape he made for Tracks. He opened his eyes and stared in shock at the tiny light of the radio as it continued playing.
"Tracks?" he whispered.
He heard the engine rev up in response.
"Tracks, oh god, is this you?"
It revved again.
Raoul shuddered, looking at the car again and noticing all the details around the interior that seemed so familiar, and yet looked so wrong.
"Oh god, are you gonna eat me?"
The engine didn't rev but the radio switched on, tuning into some channel that was playing a romance song. Raoul was confused, it seemed to be some odd attempt to communicate with him. However, he did at least take it as a sign that Tracks wasn't going to hurt him. At least he hoped so. None of the other corrupted transformers he'd seen had ever looked that friendly before.
"Can you let me go?"
The engine revved quite angrily.
"Come on man, you can't keep me here forever."
The engine revved again.
"Tracks. Please!"
He still felt shaky, there was still the cut on his head and he was bleeding. He needed to get out of here.

If you think about it, the concept of Transformers is actually rather terrifying and I'm surprised there isn't any content that plays Transformers for straight horror like there's horror elements in tf stuff but never a complete horror about transformers like imagine a horror scenario: a person is being chased by a car that has no driver and then suddenly the car turns into a big robot to continue pursuit
Honestly I think that's a fab idea that has a lot of potential. Tbh I do have some of that stuff planned for my Corruption AU. When talking about it with some friends we realised the most terrifying ones would be corrupted alt-modes, something that looked like a weird monster car that is only determined to run you down.
That's honestly why I made Prowl an evil police car cos what could be more terrifying than that?I also have a segment written out for Corrupted Tracks where he kidnaps Raoul cos it's the one thing that he remembers pre-his corruption. And to Raoul it just looks like he's trapped in a demonic car (I basically watched Christine getting inspiration for that).
Also I honestly think Barricade would make a terrifying animated series villain. Imagine him using a holoform to infiltrate the police and then put out arrest warrants on all the Autobot kid allies. That's one idea I have also started working on for a fic.Or even just I was discussing the concept with a friend of a Transformers political thriller where Decepticons using holoforms have infiltrated all the worlds governments and you can't tell who's real and who's not. It's a shame that sort of thing has never really been utilised in the series proper.
Honestly I think a part of it is in order to have a good horror premise they'd have to have a good human cast, since the horror would all be from their pov, but TF has generally failed at that.
