a sigh is exhaled as he strides down the corridors of the castle, tired from a long day of work. there was a lot that needed his attention, but hey it beats the life he had before. there was one person he wanted attention from the most ... brown eyes search the open doors as he passes them looking for his princess.

his steps come to a stop in front of her closed door, which was unusual for her. he wondered if maybe she was in a different room or perhaps off with her parents. something inside tells him to dismiss that thought as his knuckles lightly tap against the door. he hears a faint response before sticking his head in to see her hiding in bed.

he is soft with his movements to sit on the bed next to her, fingers reaching out to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. ❝ everything okay? you look lost in thought over there. ❞

a gender in the genderelven system related to being coronian and being elven.

etymology - coroni (coronian) + elven.

Half of her heart wanted to run to her and profess that of course she didn't, that Rapunzel need only say the word and she'd stay for as long as needed. The other half wanted to yell at her, tell her how selfish she was being and how it was exactly this selfishness that was why she had to leave.

But Cassandra didn't do either of those things. She simply said, "I do."

It wasn't an easy decision. Perhaps it would have been easier if Rapunzel had held her actions against her, ironically enough- but if she wanted her here and she wanted to be here, it made it all the more painful to say goodbye. But she had to, lest the cycle begin anew.

   Rapunzel grimaced at the mess in Varian’s lab. He’d dealt with worse? She truly didn’t think things could get worse. She glanced at Pascal and nodded. ❝ Okay, well, Pascal and I can help you with the clean up, ❞ she said and smiled.

Varian, in the midst of sweeping up shattered glass from his latest accidental explosion (which had left a good half of his lab looking like a warzone), looked up at Rapunzel and her pet.

“Oh, thanks, Rapunzel! That’d... be a lot of help, actually.” He replied, giving her a sheepish smile. Then he paused for a moment, a thought crossing his mind.

THANK YOU! I’m going to one of my fav restaurants for lunch and my work told me that I could take as long as I want because it’s my birthday
