the jewel inside the jungle was EASY to acquire... that's what the baron had said... now he was starting to feel maybe it was a plot to just get rid of him and it wouldn't be the first. the jungle had proven to be a challenge the deeper he went. between the gorillas .. monkeys? he wasn't sure he encountered and then the cheetah. brown eyes lock with the predator hiding in the grass across the river and his movements freeze. his eyes begin assessing the area around to look for some sort of escape path. a rustle across the jungle grabs the cheetah's attention as it stalks off to find it's next prey.

❝ hmmm... ❞ he hums softly in response to the other as brown eyes scan through the pages before he flips to the index to look through it. A small smile trickles across his lips as he makes his decision.

It was odd hearing the tone change. Anna much rather preferred the more light-hearted conversation, even if it had sarcasm. It certainly helped her put off thinking too deeply or seriously about her plans. All she could see was the short term, she absolutely could not think of the long term. Because she knew she could not pull it off for too long. "I mean...practically anything is better than being stuck in a place where my only family member refuses to speak with me." And that is what she had to keep on reminding herself. Sure, being on the run had its many issues and risks, but at least there would no longer be that constant reminder of Elsa. "The cabin hasn't been used in forever. It'll be fine, plus I can't leave Arendelle, because what if something happens to Elsa?" Just because she wanted to get away from Elsa did not mean she wanted to get away from Elsa. "It'll all work out." The princess brushed off, not wanting to think of the risks any longer.

"No restaurants?" She repeated in surprise, she knew the place was a bit out of the way but not that out of the way. Was there going to be completely no trace of civilization where they were heading? "Of course," Anna stated with a firm nod. "Well I would much rather be around people, but there probably is a target on me for the next week or so...so after that I could go back to town and make a hundred friends." She thought it was an excellent game plan.

brown eyes follow her expressions as she speaks. tutors? that was it? there was mention of a sibling but seemed that maybe they weren't an option of conversation or teachings... his head tilts as she speaks of not being good at hobbies. ❝ everyone is good at something. ❞ one of his favorite lines from the tales of flynnigan rider, he always remembered it by heart.

paintings were not much company... from what he gathered there definitely was no talking to the sibling. he was curious as to what the story was behind this sibling that she seemed so on edge about but he wants to be careful with his questions for the time being. he shakes his head as she speaks unsure of how she would survive on her own out here... it'll all work out. a phrase he knew all too well.

❝ no restaurants,❞ he repeated, watching the emotions flooding her face. ❝ probably a good idea to stay out of the public eye for now... ❞ he affirmed, though being a thief on the run was one thing... a thief is easy to forget. a princess on the run... not so much. ❝ anna, it's a pleasure. ❞ he replies smoothly.

❝ what's the situation? ❞. he blurts out, he couldn't help the curiosity that was eating at him. ❝ why aren't you allowed to leave the castle? or a better question why are you running away? ❞ there's a small sigh that escapes him as he gets ready for the answer.
