Gladiolus season is coming! I’m looking forward to seeing what colors the ones along the house will be. I didn’t plant them, but I did mulch that bed heavily with leaves in early December almost as soon as I moved in. They are NOT cold hardy, but this was apparently enough to help them survive this atrocious winter. Really pleasantly surprised.
The then the ones in the crates on the gravel I planted in succession. The first crate has a pastel mix, and the rest are all a pastel purple variety called ‘Milka.’ Hopefully they will all provide me with some nice tall stems to work with so I can start making larger arrangements than the mason jar bouquets.
