Recently I’ve been working on some life sized sculptures of naturally small things. Here is a garden snail hanging out with some Russula emetica mushrooms and a ramaria araiospora (coral fungus) with British soldier lichen and fern moss. 🐌🍄🌿 🖤

Thought this color was brilliant. Saw lots of other coral fungi this day but none violet! My first time seeing this guy in nature. A beut!

Check out this amazing coral fungi growing at the bottom of the field near the woods. There’s heaps of it in little clumps around a decomposing stump and I’ve saved a bit for drying just to see if I can include it in my work. It was quite a magical walk through the woods today. There’s hundreds of mushrooms doing their thing, looking stunning in the autumn leaves. I didn’t come home with any fungi for the table but I did pick up some sloes to make Christmas gin.
