Coquina shells
My best friend has never seen coquina shells before. (Goth alt baddie) The beach was covered with them at sunset. I told her that growing up, my family would go to the beach early in the morning and we would be able to watch them dig into the sand as the shore washed them to surface. My sister and I would just sit there and count how many of a certain color we saw and we would make drip sand castles as the tide would stir up a new batch. Iykyk
They have the most beautiful patterns and can mainly seen around tide shifts. Watching her scoop up sand to see them borrow made us feel like kids again. Just appreciating everything around us and nerding out.
We also played tic tac toe with shells and she kicked my ass. But it’s her birthday month I’ll let it slide.
