the one that really puzzles me is A Christmas Story which is apparently HUGE in the US but I never even heard of it till I was an adult. i have since watched it and it’s very enjoyable

Quietpaw - A shy and gentle she-cat. Quietpaw find it very hard to speak up, especially in front of other cats, and Silentwhisper often has to angle his ears towards her in order to hear her quiet voice. Quietpaw is always considerate towards others, and will often help out with jobs without being asked, but any kind of praise makes her very embarrassed, but she is turning out to be a very skilled apprentice, so Silentwhisper will often touch his tail tip to her flank to let her know she has done a good job, rather than get her flustered and embarrassed, he is trying his best to help boost her confidence, but it is a slow process, even with Quietpaw determined to become more confident, 15/10

i feel like we maybe historically used bank holiday that way here in nz but definitely not anymore

this is going to be the greatest presentation of my college career, and that includes my ‘David and Jonathan’ presentation earlier this semester where I titled a slide ‘Can’t a heterosexual man tell another heterosexual man he thinks his booty is fly?’ and talked about the Four Types of Love

Chapter 5 Ratchet wake from stasis with a heavy head. He had the weirdest dream last night. Making his way to the med bay to find it empty and realizing it wasn’t a dream. “slagget!” he punched the door frame “what’s wrong Ratchet?” Copperfire was making her way to the med bay with Perceptor besid her. “its just…Ghost is gone again.” He gave a defeated sigh and started heading back “good reddens.” Percy grumbled Ratchet’s spark sank at Perceptor.  He would never know the truth and even if he did. Ratchet dought he would fully expect it. It was a heavy burden that Ghost seem to bare. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Copperfire was packing the few things she had. It had been nice to be back at the old clinic for a while but her term here was coming to a end. She wish she could stay longer. Specially now that Perceptor  was back. It had been a crazy the days that had followed Perceptor's return. He had reported to prowl and with Ratchets help, had explained everything. The others where surprised but glad to have him back. Though she could tell that even though he was here, there was a part of him missing. She froze when she heard the door to her room open and someone enter. “Copper? What are you doing.” Asked Perceptor “I'm …umm…” she had forgotten to tell Percy what had happened while he was gone. “right I forgot to tell you. Iv been assigned to a group and am leaving soon.” She sat down on her slad as he came over with a confused expression. “you know, I found it odd that you where here. I had thought you had been offered a medic possition on a space station.” “I was…until something happened.” Perceptor cocked his head to one side. “what happened? Whatever it is, I will still be by your side.” “I did get to work on the space station for a time….before a group of cons came. They stormed their way into the station. I sealed off the med bay to try and hold them off while help came. It would have never reached us in time…” she trailed off but Percy put a comforting hand one her shoulder. “they where breaking threw the doors. I got scared and then….there was only fire. It consumed the cons….as well as the entire station. By the time help came…there wasn’t much left.” she had to compose herself. Perceptor stared at her in silence.  He knew she had trouble controlling her flames sometimes but this. "I swear I didn’t mean for it to happen…I just. They brought me back and put me on trial. Keeping me in the stockades while they discus my fate. It was only thanks to Prowl and Prime that I didn’t become a permit member there. Though some guards besides to leave their mark on what side they though I truly belong on.” She got up and started moving back around her room. Gathering what was left. “in the end they decided to freeze my rank as a medic. Then they aassignedme to the wreckers, to serve as their field medic.” “they cant!” yelled Perceptor “Copper, you’re a pacifist. This is suicide for you.” She gave him a weary look and shock her head. “I know. Maybe that was their plan. Though in some way, iv come to except it. It’s a kinder fate then what I deserve. She looked up at Perceptor. There was something in his eyes. Almost a determination was replacing what was lost. He pulled her into his arms, protectively. “then I am going with you.” This shocked her “ but percy? I thought you where going to get the sniper mods remove and go back to being a scientist?” “I was but maybe that cursed gun could do some good. After all I cant leave you alone there. Someone has to watch your back now.” He kissed the top of her head. She chippered happily and hugged him back.

I will say Afra reads a lot creepier as an adult than he did when I was a teen.  But it’s a credit to the writing that I conveniently forget how awkward the Afra/Damia relationship is until I put down the book.
