Bro doesn't hit girls so he does not strife with Rose. He trains her with mind games because she is responsive to it. She handles herself better than Dave in the sense she "fights back" willingly

The first drawing is one of many instances in which Rose has to hide her writing and personal belongings on her person, because Bro reads her journals, books, and diaries. He doesn't seem to do much with this information but when Rose notices her journal is placed back on her desk at a slight angle she becomes suspcious and begins locking it, only for Bro to attempt to lure her into the traps so he can take it and "pwn" her. He doesn't even usually read it in those situations. It's just to prove a point. Rose is fairly keen though, so she begins to recognize things like Cal sitting creepily in the corner as being poised intentionally. It's hard to get her.

As established, she fights back. Sometimes in small mental ways, but she does eventually adopt his physical methods and starts laying traps as well. The net trap is hers, set up so when he pushes his chair back and stands he will step into the loop and get strung from the cieling. He often moves too quick to be caught, but there have also been times she caught Cal instead of Bro. She assumes this is a taunting gesture from him.

Bro also doesn't know what little girls do for fun. For her early childhood he used the same approach he did on Dave, letting her play with his own belongings (regrettably including smuppets) and occasionally a horrifically creepy doll that looks like a young girl might have played with it in the victorian era. Rose enjoys the dolls, but doesn't tell Bro, since they are "enemies".

She also owns a turntable, but she doesn't like it and doesn't use it for anything other producing sound to disrupt or distract Bro. He regrets giving it to her, but they both enjoy the back and forth harassment in some twisted way so he doesn't discard it. Well, "enjoy" is a strong word. I imagine they're probably just both lonely and isolated and keep their feelings close to their chest, and this is the only way they can figure out how to interact with each other in a meaningful way.

so Elias gets Jon pregnant. its an accident of course, they used protection. these things happen. he really shouldnt have slept with him in the first place, but there was so much excitement around jon’s promotion that one thing just led to another. its fine though, he just has to hope jon gets an abortion. 

jon tries. but ultimately decides that he cant go through with it. now elias is in a tough position. he knows about the dangers of the archivist job and as much as he is cold hearted, it doesnt feel right to let a pregnant person go through that. so he scrambles to change his plans, find a way to deal with prentiss, and to prevent any more attacks that may happen to the institute. jon is kept in the dark

they grow closer, naturally. elias wanted to stay out of it and only provide monetary support, but he could see how jon was struggling dealing with everything alone. he goes with him to his appts and eventually moves jon into the guest room in his home. its easier to help that way. and its nice having jon around. its not a relationship, neither of them have discussed anything, but more often than not jon ends up cuddling elias on the couch at the end of the night. jon starts sleeping in elias’s room and they plan to turn the guest bedroom into a nursery. they start painting it after they find out its going to be a boy.

this part im a little vaguer on but basically: near the end of jons pregnancy he finds out how much elias has been hiding from him, about the entities, and the rituals. elias admits to his own plans for a ritual and jon leaves him. he leans on martin and tim for support. elias continues to send checks for child support despite jons distaste at accepting anything from him. elias keeps his distance and avoids talking to jon as much as possible. 

fast forward abt 3-4 years. jon and martin get together and martin becomes Theodore’s stepdad. theo begins exhibiting weird behaviors in day care - terrorizing the other kids and knowing things he shouldnt. jon is afraid it means hes becoming an avatar and reluctantly brings him to elias for him. its the first time elias is meeting his son and hes shocked by how his eyes are exactly the same. theo immediately knows that elias is his other dad and jon has to cut the meeting short to avoid awkward questions. elias does comfirm that theo isnt an avatar, but he is touched by the eye. 

around this time martin and jon begin having lots of arguments about jons archivist position. martin wants to leave london and settle somewhere away from the fears and danger they pose. jon knows he cant leave (and part of him doesnt want to) and that he cant just stop being the archivist. during one of these arguments, theo gets upset and runs away and finds his way to the institute. elias finds him and calls jon who is frantic at this point. jon begrudgingly thanks elias for keeping theo safe. after this point theo constantly asks after elias and wants to see him, much to martin’s rage 

jon uses elias as a babysitter during a time he has no choice, hes worried the whole time but when he comes to pick theo up he finds elias reading to him on the couch. after this jon finally organizes visitation with elias. he realizes that its negatively affecting theo *not* having elias in his life, and he needs to think of his kid before himself. so elias takes theo 1 weekend a month (and then eventually 2). 

In this normal reality where the game is not unfolding she was in the city partying with her girls and after they left she realized this was the only address she knows nearby. Mom drunkenly stumbles up the many flights of stairs to the strider's apartment. It's the middle of the night but she knows all the guys do is stay up on their computers (she knows this because she sees them online when she too is up all night on her phone) so they will be awake.

Bro answers the door and Mom immediately starts blabbering about what a hectic night she's had and she needs a place to crash, k? No way. No sirree. Drunk woman -> staying in my one bedroom apartment? Not happening. But bro isn't a very talkative fella so he's just thinking that as she forces her way into the livingroom/kitchen of this garbage apartment. She's talking about something and her purse slips off her shoulder at some point so Bro aimlessly picks it up as he trails behind. Whatever she's saying doesn't make a ton of sense but Bro mightve just been missing it since he's formulating a plan to remove the enemy from his base.

She leans on him for support, considering laying down on the couch, voicing the desire to rest, only for Bro to usher her down the hall after some hesitation. The couch is his bed, if you remember right from my previous posts, and he's cultivating a pile of dishes nearby. Not like mom has noticed but she'd definitely remark so Bro decides to avoid that crisis all together and shepherds her to Dave's room, where he finally breaks his silence and directs dave to kick rocks.

And mom is just very happy to take care of such a nice, well mannered, compliant dave
