stuff i kinda had in thought about Min-ho. i already stated that he is a koryo saram from Kazakhstan
he is probably from northen Kazakhstan and studied in music academy in Astana on piano faculty till he flunked out in final years (bc it was the early 90s and his family like really needed money) (so him and miyeong have like 7 year age gap or so)
he went to south korea to do construction work, and in his free time he was mostly in the local libraries to study language properly. There he met teenage Miyeong that was studying for her school exams. turns out they had similar materials to study so they decided to work together occasionally (miyeong definitely wasn't a little shit about a 20 year old talking in broken korean). in turn with help with the korean Min-ho helped Miyeong with music theory
after two years Min-ho went to other city and Miyeong went to the demon hunter compound to train
during the time before 2000 Min-ho got himself in trouble with mafia and was almost killed when he became a demon.
around year 2000 he met Miyeong again when sunlight sisters busted a demon hideout and she ran away to catch him. they immediately recognised each other and Miyeong couldn't find it in her to kill a past friend. She let him go on the promise of contact and giving info on demon placements. It all slowly grew into dating and later Rumi.
Min-ho trying to come clean from his past started a car selling business to post soviet countries and was away for a month at a time. During one of his times away demons attacked Miyeong. Feeling the situation through the honmoon sunlight sisters were on time to save Rumi but not Miyeong (third sunlight sister also got heavily injured)
Min-ho got noticed post factum by the police so when he came back (as fast as he could) he was greeted by angry Celine and a very complicated situation.
in the end because of his work Min-ho gave partial guardianship to Celine and Yuli (thirdlight) and they all moved to demon hunter compound (he couldn't stand being in the apartment where his wife got killed)

Min-ho didn't want to become a demon in the first place he hated being one and thinking about the future where he would be living in place where demon hunters live to give out their location would be extra stupid with Gwi-ma looking through the eyes of every demon.
so he asked Celine to give him a part of her soul to cut him off from Gwi-ma influence
