Three pop/country Christmas albums. Lol. Miss Bianca Ryan’s Christmas EP SIGNED lol featuring one my all time favorite Christmas songs, Why Couldn’t It Be Christmas Everyday. Taylor Swift’s Christmas EP (which I really hope she re-records!!!) (Also, today is Taylor Swift’s birthday. Happy Birthday Taylor! 🥳🎂🍾🥂) And Mary-Kate & Ashley’s Christmas CD Cool Yule which I completely forgot I picked up at the thrift store a while ago lol (I’ve opened it now b/c I wanted to see what the booklet & CD were like, but it was STILL in it’s original plastic packaging & I got it for just $2 (probably b/c of the cracks) lol) (Fun fact I got the Taylor Swift CD at the same thrift store but YEARS before the Mary-Kate & Ashley CD lol)

For four years in a row Saks 5th Avenue used my Book Santa Calls as the basis for their Christmas windows and a variety of cookie jars and ornaments. My favorites were the cookie jars. When my kids were small I made Christmas into a sort of fever dream that was inspired by the artist NC Wyeth. We moved most of the furniture out of the downstairs and I filled the rooms with a forest of lighted trees. The kids made forts and secret rooms among the trees with pillows and blankets and toys. We had a grand time. I’m down to just four trees this year. Yay, the Christmas tree is now up and the house festively decorated along with my annual ritual of having the Elf movie on as the soundtrack. Steve even bravely ventured out to get mulled wine to drink along the way as well! Hoorah!!! Thanks to the amazing handmade creators - @jane_mitchell_finch who made the foil cut fly agaric mushroom and @powleybearbox who made the vintage Gotham city truck with tree and presents. BLESSED SOLSTICE AND HAVE A COOL YULE 💚🖤 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [SWIPE! ] In the very early hours of Saturday morning I was sanding down contorted willow to make magick wands for my great-neices and nephews. I always keep the sand paper so I have the 'skin' of the wand in my possession.
