19) …for luck. Capsize/Ianite
It’s a strange thing, to see herself through the eyes of another.
Her captain looks up at her as she should be, as she once was, a respected and regal goddess. Here, in her captain’s perspective, she can play pretend that her followers faith isn’t wavering nor is she in pain struggling to maintain this ghostly form. This is a normal evening where one of her followers wishes for guidance, and Lady Ianite is good for it.
Capsize’s nose crinkles in disgust, her eyes shift around the room to find the source of the issue, and it breaks her out of the illusion.
Captain. Capsize’s eyes, wide and attentive, land back on her. Exhausted from her perilous journey, she’s chosen to kneel before her in the church instead of resting, with her prize, an unreadable map, held closely to her heart. You’ve done well.
She’s given a firm nod in response, and Ianite cannot help herself, her captain is adorable. Her finger follows the course lines in netherbrick pretending the feel of smoothing out the stress in Capsize’s face is the same. All it becomes is a reminder that she’s not there, not entirely. Her finger lightly trails down the side of her face, then jaw, until her chin is between her thumb and pointer.
You will find what you are looking for, Attentive as always, Capsize tilts her head up in compensation for the lack of force in her goddess touch. Once more, Ianite can’t help herself, she presses her lips to Capsizes’ own, and all she feels is the scorching bricks that make up her prison. And you will get back to me.
