Early writes, produces, directs, and stars (in drag) as an outrageous online food influencer (or "recipe developer") suffering from a severe eating disorder in this entertaining queer comedy. As an earnest melodrama clearly inspired by 1990s made-for-TV movies, it uses its glossy cinematography to heighten the comedic effect of the sincere performances. The film is a fine cinematic example of choosing a hyper-specific aesthetic, mood, and style, then completely committing to the bit seriously. Early's extremely soapy brand of humour makes everything particularly appealing.
