Partnering aro culture is your friend (who knows you're aro) telling you they like you and want a more than friends relationship with you. And you also wanting it, but you internalized the idea that no one would want to date someone who's aromantic. So you reject them but it's so obvious you don't want to, so they reiterate what they said, emphasizing that they don't care if you can't give them a stereotypical partnership, that they just want you and are absolutely ok with respecting your boundaries and not being romantic with you when you're feeling repulsed.
