lol jokes aside, i really am! the best reasoning i have behind why im a holothere is :
the mind that is inside the body is a wolf, therefore the body holding the mind is also a wolf.
all my life it's been like this- only now can i give the experience a name! a simple label cannot capture the euphoria i feel when i call my body a wolfs body and deep instinctual discomfort when i call it a "human".
i am not delusional or mentally ill, this is just who i am. i dont know enough about it to consider myself one, but the transspecies community is kinda calling out to me. i consider myself to be a holothere (concothere), and i would absolutely love to begin transitioning myself to be something i feel more at home in. The only reason ive been wary about the community is because of radqueers and trans-id people, but ive seen a distinction between transspecies and trans-id recently.

i especially love to draw though, i make art every day. mainly of my kintype but also art for class and occasional art trades.
about me (more)
i also age+pet regress, my main account is @elopingwolfie so if you get a follow from there its me!
i have been awakened since i was 12, but ive always been nonhuman.
i used to run a pack on discord in 2021! lol
what is a holothere?
a holothere is someone who physically and fundamentally identifies as something nonhuman in every way. many physical therians choose to use the label as it more directly communicates their physical and integral aspects, compared to an in-depth description of their experience as a physical therian.
(-the therian wiki)
why do i call myself one?
all my life, i have felt inhuman. utterly, completely, not a person. when i discovered the therian community and learned of "physical therians"; i was enthralled.
when this term was coined early last year i was fascinated and i felt immediately connected to the term.
i think you are cool and i would love to see you talk about your alterhumanity more⦠if i was decent at thinking of questions i would just send those!
Oh, thanks! Thatās so nice of you!
I suppose Iāll just yap about being a werecat, since Iām feeling very cat-ish today.
Body:
Iām definitely a ālesser catāālike domestic cats, cheetahs, and mountain lions. Iām built almost like a cheetah with more body fat, puma-like colouration, and a scruffy little mane.
Like other lesser cats, I canāt roar. My vocalizations are more similar to those one might hear from a domestic cat. Although, Iāve never really been one to meow.
Since Iām a werecat, my front paws are longer and more dexterous like humanoid hands. My face is also a more even blend between human and cat (though leaning a bit more feline). Iām mostly cat, though!
This identity is actually somewhat physical for me? I have the enduring conviction that certain features of my body are evidence of my species, despite knowing ālogicallyā that my body is āhumanā.
Additionally, I canāt actually transform! Iām always a strange cat-blend.
Mind:
I donāt really have any noemata as a werecat (unlike my gryphon identity). This leads me to feel like Iām the only member of my species. Iām an isolated incident. Like an experiment or changeling.
Biggest shifts for this ātype are a rough tongue, a full set of feline teeth (usually accompanied by the feeling that the muscles in my face are different), a more cat-like chest (so, my scapulae would actually be on the sides of my body, as opposed to the back of it. I also wouldnāt have fixed collarbones), and my paws!
Iāve been a werecat for almost as long as I can remember. I love being a cat, but Iāve struggled with non-socially acceptable behaviours since I was small. Definitely influenced by my asd/adhd. Takes a lot more masking, though. Itās not really considered acceptable to hiss at people in the workplace.
But yāknow, I love who I am. Itās worth it when I can just unmask it all around my trusted people.
If you have any specific questions, I would love to answer those too!
When Iām tired, I love to let myself indulge in my cat-ness.
I get to enjoy the four-legged ambling gait of a big cat in its home territory.
My shoulder blades move towards my frontā functionally reducing the entire area of my chest into a shallow valley between my forelimbs, my legs stretch out into their proper digitigrade shape, and my phalanges fold upon themselves until theyāve reached the compact shape of a catās paw.
My spine suddenly feels long, and languid movements suddenly more comfortable. The slow sway of my tail behind me is a personal favourite.
Itās a comforting sort of walkā almost easier than walking bipedally.
If I need to grab something, I prop myself up on my hind legs (in much the same way as a dog stealing food from a table), braced by my forelegs on a counter or other surface. Thenā instead of walking away on twoā I drop down to four legs, holding whatever I wished to grab with my teeth.
I havenāt felt this cat in a while. I can acutely feel the fur on my back and how fluid my spine is. My hands feel more paw-like than usual, along with my face (my muzzle! my whiskers! Iāve missed them!).
This is probably spurred on by the fact that I was my cat-self for the first time in a dream. I really enjoyed it. I was able to hunt properly and even my limbs were correct!

Iām posting this on its own because itās, quite literally, the most accurate drawing I have ever made of myself. Iām especially happy with how my faint, lion-esque spots came out!
Hii follow up question to what u said about ur werecat appearance cuz i'm interested in how to accurately visualize it
Is it at all similar to Cheetah from DC comics (specifically her design in Wonder Woman: The Lies)? More animalistic?
I have aphantasia so i struggle visualizing without references which is why i'm asking further but don't feel pressured to indulge my probing
Itās no problem at all! I donāt quite feel comfortable comparing myself to fictional characters (since theyāre not me) and describing myself probably wouldnāt work too well for you.
So, I drew myself (as accurately as I can with both my current understanding of my anatomy and my artistic skills) for you to be able to see!
This is pretty much how I look! Thanks for asking this by the way! Iāve had some trouble lately trying to draw myself, but this ask gave me some of the motivation I needed!
EDIT: Sometimes the structure of my face changes a bit, so hereās an added sketch of when itās more ācatā
What would you say in your experience is something strange about being a werecat? š
I think the weirdest thing about me being a werecat is that Iām not one in the traditional sense. I donāt change at all (under a full moon or otherwise) and although I have certain āhumanā attributes, Iām not human in any way. Iāve got more āhuman-likeā paws and proportions, but Iām āhumanā in the way that a changeling is. Iām just a cat thatās got some strange, human-mimicking features!
Also, my ears are feline (kind of rounded like a mountain lionās ears), but theyāre more on the sides of my head, rather than the top.
