ADA LOVELACE Born in 1815, Ada Lovelace was responsible for the world's first computer program, coming up with it long before the computer even existed. Ada was working as a mathematician and wrote a series of notes on the workings of the Analytical Engine - a proposed clockwork computer. These notes contained the first computer program. Celebrate Ada Lovelace day on Tuesday 14th October 2014, and shine the spotlight on her achievement and inspire more women into careers in the technology sector.
