Air Jordan Retro Summer 2014 Release
Today, we get a look at some upcoming Air Jordan Retro releases, set to come out in Summer 2014. New colorways are starting to surface, such as the Air Jordan 14 “Silver” and the Air Jordan 3 in “Sport Blue” and “Wolf Grey” colorways. Some OG colorways will also be making their returns, such as the Air Jordan 1 KO High OG “Sport Blue”, a canvas version of the Air Jordan 1. The Air Jordan 6 “Sport Blue” and Air Jordan 14 “Black Toe” will make comebacks as well. Sport Blue appears to be a prominent colorway in 2014, much like the new Gamma Bluewas this year.

NIKE KOBE 2 (PRELUDE)
Nike is taking the launch of the Kobe 9 as an opportunity to reflect on the Black Mamba’s explosive career since signing with the Swoosh just under a decade ago. They’re bringing out all eight preceding models in order each week in new colourways as a special ‘Prelude’ to the new silhouette’s release. After the Kobe 1 of last week, we get to see an all-new Kobe 2 here. The upper is clad in a marbled rock colourway with gold accenting, chosen because this is the shoe that Kobe was wearing when Kobe truly began carving his name in B-Ball history. The Kobe 1 was an ode to the player’s 81-point game and this sneak’s significant moment is the four straight games Kobe nailed 50+ points in, becoming only the second man after Wilt Chamberlain to have such a streak. A graphic representing that treatment sits on the insole. Each shoe will be available in limited quantities on Nike.com (North America, Greater China and Western Europe) and at select retailers in North America and Greater China.
NIKE LEBRON 11 (ORANGE/BLUE)
The Nike LeBron 11 continues to sell its laces off in stores even though LBJ himself isn’t wearing them on court consistently. There’s murmurings that a redesign of the silhouette is coming for King James and will flow on to his disciples, but we hope we still see this model continue to ride the colour spectrum with new releases because it’s a real stunner. There’s a little bit of debate over what this colourway is all about, Marquee Sole, who are selling this beast early, have dubbed it the ‘New York Knicks’, while EU Kicks are claiming it as a retro Cleveland Cavaliers rendition because of this‘Hardwood Classic’ LeBron X Low. Clever sleuthing, EU, but we’re gonna sit on the courtside fence and just call it ‘orange and blue’, because that’s what we’re seeing – plus, LeBron repped the Cavs in the modern uniform that didn’t look much like this, and he doesn’t have a real connection to the Knickerbockers other than being really desired by them. Furthermore, Nike has never been really rigorous with sneaker storytelling when it comes to the LeBron compared to the KD VI and the ‘muses’ that will inspire Kobe 9 colourways – the design team seem happy to belt out combos that just look good and have no rhyme or reason behind them. That’s where this bright and bold number probably falls, and it’s available in a couple of sizes for big dollars at MS now. We’ll let you know when it gets a wider drop.
AIR JORDAN 11 (GAMMA BLUE) After making do with some scrappy preview flicks, today we bring you a detailed look at the upcoming Air Jordan 11 ‘Gamma Blue’ retro release. A truly revered court silhouette, like butter on bread, black captivates the majority of the upper which comes hewn from a mix of patent leather, premium leather and heavy mesh, while hits of gamma blue jump off the upper and continue into the icy clear outsole. Golden details are a fitting finish for this kingly package, which will be available later this month on December 21st from retailers.
