#coming back wrong

The last time she saw him was the literal apocalypse, and things weren't great, but at least they were allies. At least she could see tha Jon was (mostly) still him and still trying to put things right. And now he may be alive again, but it's not even the Jon from then it's something even more monstrous than before. She thought he was dead but he's something worse.

Anyway, I love the trope of people coming back wrong and their friends/loved ones having to deal with that.

And I've seen someone comment that this makes her being brought back to life after her death in vol 3 finale another example of her tragically lacking a choice. As she had no say in if she wanted to come back. At the time I didn't really get it, what could possibly be bad about another chance at living. But now I see it.

when she’s brought back? She’s in a world entirely changed. The ground she walks on has shifted, changed. The noises, sounds; smells, all of them have changed.

has she changed with it? Has she too shifted from what she died as? Is the body still lying frozen in that ice the same as the one she lives in now? Has she come back wrong? Is she the same Hazel who died?
