I finished the the first page of my comic, an establishing shot with some fresh artillery crevasses. I originally was going to make the sort of triangles near the front of the trench line barbed wire but I felt like some sort of triangular blades would fit the setting more.
I'm working on the other pages but drawing the characters is more difficult since I have to draw them at so many angles but it's a great learning experience and I'm enjoying playing with the cinematography.
The thing that took the longest was drawing the smoke but I found that drawing a sort of wave/river shape, erasing some of it, and then drawing sort of humps over the erased parts made for a neat design, I also added some lines in places to give it some shape, I'm sure with some more shading it could *pop* but I feel like I've spent enough time on the shot and should move on before I get into the "oh but I should add this detail" loop
