Les 3 Messieurs [c. 2014(?)] . . . . . Found a lot of old art cleaning my studio. Honestly, I thought all of this work had been lost to time&circumstance, so it's a bit heartwarming to see it again and where I am now by comparison ♡ this is a page of a 3-vignette pantomime graphic novel I had planned named "Les 3 Messieurs," but health problems got in the way so it never came to fruition. Page layouts [o1] . . . I remember back in school, it was as though I was deathly allergic to drawing backgrounds. I didnt like designing and filling a space--ironically, despite the hours of detail I put into a face or clothing or hair, I felt as though coming up with elements of a space was too tedious. I recently stumbled upon my old school assignments, and they are embarrassing and very discouraging, to say the least. . . . It wasnt until I had a prior roommate explain to me that the environment could be considered a character in and of itself that I began to REALLY understand the importance of and fun in environments.
