Y’all ever wanna learn how to program and make ur own game But don’t want to deal with boring lectures? There’s a game for that!
i was scrolling around com sci twitter and found a kickstarter im super into and wanted to pass it around. so please take a look at:

Time Tails! the adventure game where you go around fixing glitches within the time space continuum by learning how to do basic programming and game design!
I always want more people to get into programming and game design considering how big the field is and how many doors it can help open especially if you’re considering one day making a game and want to better unstand the tech side of it. so please take a look and toss a few dollars if you have it.

Tech bros with their fancy machine learning aren't special, I can turn any program into a black box algorithm by just being dumb enough.
Lost in Computer Science
2017 has been a rich year for the scientific community orbiting around computer science.
so nice to see a girl pursuing computer science! i'm a first year student in university and a computer science major computer engineering minor c: keep it up girl! best of luck to you!
I love this. Thank you so much! This is like the sweetest and best encouragement ever. I’m hoping to major in computer science and minor in a form of engineering too. :) I’ll make you proud, don’t worry! Haha.

Project Ideas

This is the time of the year when semester is half-done, co-op info session taken place and suddenly first-year CS students that just began to understand what really programming means are brainwashed by the phrase "personal projects" daily. I requested my dear boyfriend to show me some good collection he saw before from close friends (for example, D.L's programming collection), and while they all look amazing, they are of typical engineer/CS routes. I don't want that. I want something more special. Something I can label as "yeah, that's what a CS ecologist does". I thought hard for 5 minutes and came up with a growing list of following things:
Local hiking app: sync information scatter on websites including time, reviews, difficulty level and preparation, etc. No live-tracking necessary (because really, when a Garmin doesn't even work, your phone really doesn't have a shot)
Sonograms of birds: this can be combined with phylogenetic trees to track back the evolution of species (i.e. speciation). Research is needed for species (although I'm sure all the info is there), and also a good way to render the info will be better.
Migration pattern of animals (birds/mammals): use connectivity of routes to showcase how animals might migrate. Models are available but further implementation will help visualize the models much better.
Live, up-to-date global forest distribution pattern: I don't know how this can be done. This sounds like a massive project as it should be.
Any takers on saying which ideas really intrigue you to want to see the end product? I might really give it a shot!
Douche in leather jacket: Dude, how do you spell psychological?
Douche in sweats: S-I... wait no, let me open Word first
Okay so
It's 10:46 the day before the com sci project is due.
I've slept 5 hours, eaten nothing but a creme egg, and haven't started yet.
I have, however, crossed this complete BS off of my list of possible majors, because I'm just not. I can't. I'm not even smart enough for this goddamn it. Who let me do this?
