What if there's a coluan criminal?
it's been awhile since I sent you any Coluan biology headcannons so forgive me if I already sent this one but I've for awhile had the headcannon that since the brain actually is where a huge part of energy goes that Coluans need to eat more than an average species of their size, and that as some one with a twelfth level intellect Querl should be eating more than your standard Coluan but he doesn't realize that because no ones ever bothered to research the affect of artificially increased intelligence on metabolism. Leading Querl to be pretty chronically underfed without fully realizing it

But no, this makes A LOT of sense. They likely also eat a lot of sugar and fat too, a lot. Plant based or otherwise.

That's... a disparaging difference, and I am absolutely intrigued about the Coluan year vs. Earth year. Colu is the 4th planet from their own star so they may indeed have a circuit year that is six Earth years long.
So, how long is their lifespan really? 200 Earth years, 200 Coluan years (600 which is what I generally settle on) or... Immortal? This page is a mess.
So not only does Querl have the weight of the crimes of Brainiac 1 on his shoulders a thousand years later, but also the weight of what his mother did to him and tried to do across the whole galaxy acting as the head of The Dark Circle. The comics mention that all Coluans knew that his mother abandoned him and that may or may not had been a contributing factor for how he was treated while left in their hands due to perhaps negative stigma associated with abandonment. When his mother then comes back and attempts to kill him after inciting a war that almost ended time it very likely becomes well known among Coluans and helped solidify that he is Brainiac 5 Hated of Colu.
