okay, so Celene's ladies-in-waiting came about from a very simple premise; that they would essentially (without even Celene even really knowing) be aspects of Briala that Celene wanted (again, inadvertibily, recreate while they were separated right after she became empress). They are also older than Celene because of course they are, Celene is replacing Briala, her mother, Mantillon and every other authority figure with these people that are under her control lmaoo
But I will do for each bec I love them.
Needless to say that this is all headcanon since there is literally nothing on this women.
Fleur
The Mastermind -- ie, the one that is ruthless and Has An Agenda (and is the most like Mantillon too)
favorite thing about them: she is utterly sure of her role and the idea that she is right. She also has a foot in the underworld of the city.
least favorite thing about them: doesn't have more screen time. like COME ON.
favorite line: ... I mean I could find something I wrote, but I feel like that would be cheating. So, I will just say which Lady in Waiting said what during WEWH.
I hc Fleur as being the one who said the thing about Orlais liking the bitter with the sweet -- that line about how they throw a ball for the bad thing, and then quiet contemplation for joyful things.
brOTP: Colombe and Couteau. Celene has other ladies in waiting, about 9 more, but Colombe and Couteau along with Fleur are the ones she trusts the most.
OTP: hm, i don't have one necessarily.
nOTP: Colombe or Couteau. Those are her girls.
random headcanon: She used to be a commoner, a prostitute actually, until she found Celene one night and they bonded and then Celene gave another identity and invited her to the palace. Her original name was Anahita.
unpopular opinion: Does she even have enough fans for this??? Anyway, I think she should be more unhinged actually. Also I think that she doesn't look badly on her time as prostitute. Like she wasn't fond of it, but it wasn't terrible.
song i associate with them: i always thought of Poker Face by Lady Gaga as a very good vibe for her.
favorite picture of them: we don't have pics of any of them, so i will just say who i sorta fancast as them. for fleur i always thought of Sarah Shahi.
Colombe
The Bastard Cousin - her backstory is that she is Cyril de Monforts bastard sister. Her role in the Briala-adjacent thing is being the one who knows Celene from before she got the throne.
favorite thing about them I really like how I made disappear into Celene. It's so fucked up, but she really doesn't know who she is.

favorite line to me she's the one who says how Celene likes her tea in WEWH. She says Celene takes her tea black, but according to TME she actually takes it with a bit of honey. That was a bit of Colombe herself shinning through.
brOTP Cyril; despite her bastardy, Cyril absolutely adores his older sister and will defend to anyone and anything even Celene.
OTP Literally anyone, but for that Colombe needs to learn herself and she never does, rip. She has a crush on Fleur, which is hilarious because Fleur is, outwardly, the most like Briala but Colombe hates Briala, lmaoo.

random headcanon she closely resembles Celene, so much so that when it is too dangerous for Celene to be out and about (or there has been an assassination threat and the stakes aren't too high) then Colombe goes as Celene to balls while Celene dresses as Colombe. (should have thought of that in WEWH, but then Briala would know and it would make her more mad and Celene was like 'ok fine ill do it, but god')
unpopular opinion again i don't think people think of her that often, but I feel like she is okay with her bastard status, she is more fucked up about the merging into Celene thing lmao.

Celene is both the hero and the villain in the lyrics. Meaning that Colombe does sorta enjoy what she does but she has absolutely drunk the koolaid.

Couteau
The Yearning-To-Be-Normal Assassin - noble girl, used to be in Florian's Assaassin's guild.
favorite thing about them I really love the fact that I made her crave a normal life, like sure she wants to Celene's Lady In Waiting and she's fine with it, but she could do without all the Drama around her. She truly just wants to clock in, clock out and that's THAT.

favorite line I think she's the one who tells the Inquisitor that all Celene wants is peace (when they first meet in the gardens), which is typical her since she is the most direct and pragmatic of them.
brOTP: Celene, actually. I think since she's the most normal one, she's the one who can actually talk to Celene like a normal person when they reach that level (meaning post-TME, when Celene starts trusting them more)
OTP : I had a whole thing with her and Cyril, but in the end she decided against it because it would be too complicated.

random headcanon: has 2 younger siblings, who are the reason she joined the Assassins guild after
unpopular opinion I think people would find it objectinable that she was a killer for hire for the emperor/empress, but I think that's sexy. Also think that people would take issue with her arranged marriage but seh and her husband are quite happy rarely seeing each other, and seeing other people instead.

to complete the Lady Gaga trifecta, I think I listened a lot to Marry the Night when doing anything with Coteau. She's very comfortable in who she is, she is the patience and the most normal of the three ladies.
