Hi author! I wanted to say that I really love the way you write, and I adore how you portray the characters! Whenever I have time, I check out your stories and end up with a smile on my face :) I wanted to ask, if it's not too much trouble, how the development of the game you're creating is going. I'm just really excited to see it! (No pressure, I'm just curious)
Oh gee - guess I'll use this to update anyone who's interested now that I'm reminded lol. Thank you for the compliments and sweet words. The game I made is more of an interactive story. I have it set up so it's like personalized fanfiction with different pathways you can follow to reach different endings with each character. The main 'game' is done. It's the after-endings that I was writing until about 7-ish months ago before I got burnt out? I write a lot for twst so I've been giving some love to my other fandoms recently and spending more time on art. It's funny you ask now since I was just wondering what I want to do with it the other night. I don't want all the love I put into it to go unpublished, although my writing quality now is very different to what I could do back then. Uhm...I'm wondering if I should reconfigure it to be an interactive fic on ao3 - basically make the main 'game' a story and use links so that it doesn't lose the choose-your-own charm. A bit of writing will be cut but at least it'll still be experienced. It's the after-endings I have that won't work that way. They have more choices and diverging paths that would be frustrating to rework and I really don't wan to lose the whole replay/re-readability factor.
Everything's all configured on 'Twine' right now. It's literally just the story. No music, no cgs (even though I did draw a few), no title screen - it's quite literally the spitting image of the 'Choice of Games' franchise, if you've heard of those interactive fics ... which isn't bad? I keep thinking I can do more but at the same time I don't have the motivation to go draw a title screen and set it up. If I publish the twine copy, I might just create an ability for save-states and let it be. The game itself has 15 'endings' for the main 'game. All that's done. It's the housewardens, vice housewardens, and two secret endings.
The after-endings I have written and programmed are for Trey, Riddle, Ruggie, Leona, Jamil, Azul, and Jade. Right now, I'm wondering if I want to write the rest of them or leave it. I have all 15 after-ending 'drafts' done. It's just that I did them a long time ago and so going back in is like drinking soda after not having any for a few months. Kinda realizing I never told anyone what the general plot is because I'm a dum-dum. It involves forbidden magic and the fates sisters if that's any context?
