Hey guys! Alright, so, as you may or may not have noticed, all of the old Let’s Read and CoLab stuff has vanished off of our old channel. As we’ve been informed, this has been rather disruptive, as quite a few of you were in the middle of a re-watch of Let’s Read Homestuck, and it’s obviously caused some problems.

I will start by saying we’re going to maintain the old reupload schedule BUT OH GOD PLEASE READ THE WHOLE SENTENCE PITCHFORK DOWN PLEASE, but as a way to ensure our old content is still available on the internet for all to see in the meantime, we have created public playlists of the entire series on the channel, where you will be able to browse and access the whole thing at any time. (That’s a link! I realize this isn’t entirely ideal, but we want to give our general subscribers (especially people that don’t follow us on social media or are new to the series) something to do while we prepare all the stuff we’ve been working on. We thought it would be just a fun way to pass the time, but this was an issue we didn’t anticipate or plan for.

For the time being, we’ll only have playlists of Let’s Read Homestuck up, but as time goes on we’ll likely add playlists for our other series.

tl;dr: Old CoLab stuff is off the new channel, we’ll still be doing our uploads as planned, but the rest of our Let’s Read Homestuck videos can be found here in the meanwhile.

Two additional notes: 

1. Just so it’s clear, we currently do not have access to the old channel. That channel is being entirely maintained by Alex and Tooch now, and any changes made to the channel are being done through them.

It has come to my attention that people I once considered friends, (Read: Tooch and Alex) have decided to adopt an attitude that can only really be described as “Opportunistic“, “Covetous” and “Highly Callous”. Others choose not to speak about it, so I will act as an individual because it has gone too far.

This is not a call out post, this is not a bloodthirsty message. These are facts told from my perspective.

CoLabHQ became defunct through very plain and simple terms: A very select few of individuals of the 30 or so people wanted us to collect a bulbous profit from our efforts as Voice Actors, through questionable means of morally and legally grey process of placing advertisements on others intellectual property.

Management of the group treated the concept with disdain because it was quite factual to them: Profiteering off of another person’s intellectual property (ie Homestuck) is flat out wrong.

Unfortunately, despite the group majority being in favor of total honesty and fairness out of fear of legal repercussion-- there was a small issue: Alex was the founding member of the group and the channel fell under his name legally and he used it to the fullest extent of the law over an ideology spat in a sense of total ownership to this project. Now he has monetized others intellectual property and has turned our hard work into a Let’s Play Channel of their own design and profit.

In minutes, everyone, even those innocent to this argument lost access to the biggest channel and project they’ve likely ever worked for several years on because some guy wanted a few extra bucks.

Admittedly, the whole spat was handled in a very undiplomatic fashion, but it was pittance in comparisons to the drastic actions taken.

So, Like, I’ve been watching Homestuck via the voicing of CoLabHQ

Turns out though... they stopped making videos around Act 6, Act 3. 

So now i’m on  ACT 6 INTERMISSION 3 but I would REALLY prefer the video format to reading the comic itself cause the pesterlogs give me a headache and I can watch it during work.
