Legends tell of the Mistborn, a being who could burn all of the Allomantic metals. But the Words of Founding focus on one specific Mistborn, who stood above them all. Vin, The Heir to the Survivor, The Ascendant Warrior, Lady Mistborn, Mother. She had as many names as she did legends of her power. Some claimed she could use her Allomancy to fly through the air, using the faint metals hidden in the ground to keep her aloft. Others claimed that she could stop a army of rampaging Koloss with only a look. And even more claim that she fought an army of the Devil's enforcers and killed them all, turning the last into Harmony's Agent.
While these were impressive feats, none of it mattered to Eva. To her these were nothing more than fanciful stories, meant to keep the weak willed in place. "Don't be bad, or The Ascendant Warrior will send a Devil after you," "Don't steal or the Heir will steal away your emotions." Common threats hurled around the city, but few ever took them seriously. Eva was one such girl, she used her Allomancy to steal and the Nicrobands to give her more strength.
Around Eva's ankles rested Nicrobands, cloth bands with a plate of metal tied to it. The band around her right ankle was a Steel-band, a thin medallion of Nicrosil with a plate of steel pressed into it. When charged by a Coinshot, a allomancer who could burn Steel, it would imprint the power into the band and allow anyone to use that power. The band around her left ankle was a Pewter-band, allowing her to use the abilities of a Thug and increase her physical abilities. These two bands, plus her own Bendalloy Allomancy, made her quite difficult to deal with.
Which is what got Eva into her current situation. She stood on the ledge of a twenty story building, a Bendalloy bubble around her, and half of the police force chasing her down. There were already three Coinshots after her, frozen in midair outside of her bubble, and at least ten Thugs on the ground. They had somehow been tipped off about what she was planning, she'd have a long talk with Jedo once she got back to their base. Maybe he could find out who had tipped off the police.
With a sigh, Eva looked around the ledge and tried to find a way out of her current troubles. It was then that she saw it, a frozen figure in the mists. Some say that the mists were how Harmony watched over the world and that in them, the Ascendant Warrior still lived on. With a chuckle, and little other options, she shrugged and turned towards the figure. "I'll figure it out in the fall." She said to herself, and taking a deep breath before letting her Bendalloy bubble fall and sprinting after the figure. She wasn't sure if the figure would lead her to safety or danger, but she'd laugh regardless and spit in the eye of anyone who tried to take her freedom from her. Be them a God, Devil, or mythical Warrior.
