hello there, I don't even know if there are fellow QAs and software testers here on tumblr (probably yes, there's so many people using this app, so it's possible, but YET .... I think there's probably only a few active testers here) but either way I decided to post my happiness and struggles while working in this blessed and cursed field that is IT. mostly cursed. pretty much cursed. I don't wanna make this a long ass text post so I will write some basic stuff about me and what I wanna do with this blog here:
hi! you can call me braqet, im a brazilian mid level QA / tester working in a startup that is sort-of-no-longer-a-startup that still behaves as a startup kind-of-company. I speak portuguese and english, and I can understand spanish and write/speak it a little too.
I was born in a small town that's really like twin peaks where everyone's odd. I left that place in my mid 20's to live with my then-girlfriend, now-wife to live in the same city she lived. now we have our own house yaaay!
I have 8 years of experience in the IT field, going through customer support, UX design (worked as a UX for 4 years), project management and now being a QA (where I finally found my right career path). since 2020 I work at the same company (that startup I mentioned before) and over here I'll write a bit about how does that feel and what I've been learning about IT and QA.
curiosities and random stuff about me: I have a "urban jungle" (i think that's what you call it??) in my home, lots of plants, succulents and cacti. I love old music (60's to 90's), but also listen to some chinese pop and alike, I used to draw a lot and that was a huge part of my personality, but now I'm more into doodling sometimes.. I love notebooks, old culture, nature and old tech too. and that's all for now.
i wanna follow more like-minded people here!! IT people who care about nature, old music fans, fellow testers.... I'll post more stuff soon. see ya!
