Questions are from my Deeper OC Ask game.

Q1: If your OC has a phobia, where did it come from?

Renee doesn't really have phobias, per se, but she does hate a few things. Namely, she hates the dark and anything to do with alcohol. She can deal with them, but it's extremely uncomfortable for her.

Both stem from her backstory. She has been surrounded by increasing levels of alcoholism since birth. Even worse, said alcoholism led to very harsh conditions in general. I imagine one could infer what her life has been like.

Q2: What lie does your OC tell themselves most often?

Hoo boy, what lies doesn't she tell herself? Okay, well, that's an exaggeration, but still! I do have to limit a lie to something she tells herself that she believes to be untrue. Some of the things she tells herself she thinks are lies, but aren't. My girl needs a psychologist so bad.

6'8", pale, skin is ever so slightly iridescent. long wavy/curly black hair that shines multicolored like an oil spill. white/opalescent irises. sort of pointy/sharp-featured. three evenly-spaced birthmarks(? was he even technically born) going down under their right eye. often looks very serious/worried; eyebrows are furrowed more often than not. wears a lot of dark, cool colors. lots of blue. favors fancy, flowy/loose-fitting clothing. likes big billowy cloaks.

generally very polite and reasonable. typically rather serious. introverted but able to force themself to be friendly. doesn't quite understand sarcasm. a little bit intrapersonally dense but he thinks he knows himself. "ancient wisdom" is mostly bizarre quasi-existentialist conclusions about the nature of the universe and also some stuff about emotions that makes no sense to anyone but himself. thinks about death way too much. deeply deeply deeply neurotic & very easy to get extremely worried about like. anything.

having been fortunate enough to have formed near to a planet that was populated mainly by stargods, he lived there for around 50,000 years and had a pretty decent life all things considered. until they started, you know, aging the way stargods do—beginning to sense their oncoming destabilization. fearing being banished from the planet, he decided to take matters into his own hands and left under the guise of exploration, which wasn't untrue, but wasn't the full truth either. for several thousand years they wandered the cosmos, basically alone, trying to keep in touch with old friends whenever he could. all the while, trying to ignore the increasing sense of dread that came with their slow inevitable destabilization. they were in the midst of taking a look at an abandoned desert planet when they met ferry & the odyssey twins, which is where the main plot of their story kicks off

likes: visiting new planets, learning new languages, reading ancient earth literature specifically (and by ancient i mean either classic or modern literature by our current day standards), rainforests, the color blue, humans, cleaning & sorting things

dislikes: loud noises & sudden movements, being even slightly confused/uncertain ever, flying ships, the incomprehensible vastness of space, fluorescent lights, just the general concept that people can die

—can speak 167 languages with varying fluency. 32 of those languages are ones that originated on earth

—favorite english word is "irony"

—favorite latin word is "suspirium"

—has no idea what a gender is; chose "he/they" to be their english language pronouns because he thought they sounded nice

—has never seen a cat

—has read about them though; wants to see one

—has also never seen a movie

—once he realized he could very easily pick someone up he's become a menace to ferry specifically

—very fascinated by ancient earth + humans and is often in awe of them
