Noting the post about self-shipping terms I reblogged, self-shipping is also just the best term we're gonna get. Obviously, this has to do with yumeship being a term from another language, but come on. It's self-explanatory and pretty succinct. Anyone who knows what shipping is will be able to infer what self-shipping is.
The main problem is, of course, the appropriation of Japan. It's wild that people would rather appropriate another country's term for the same thing, let alone how frequently they do it. I don't want to undermine that problem.
I'm just baffled by people changing the term in general. Even if we made another word for it in English, it wouldn't be helpful. Self-shipping is a perfectly fine term! There's no need to change it!
I love my friends so much. They mean so much to me. I hope my friends all know that I love them so very dearly. I want to be with my friends so we can hug and laugh and cry together and never part.

I hate feeling exhausted all the time for many reasons, but a big one is not being able to work on my OCs. I can't keep working on scripts when I'm bed. I can't make sketches all the time when I just want to sleep. It sucks and I feel like I'm abandoning them. I know I'm not really giving up, but it sure does suck.
All that said about trying to help as many people as possible, one of my first orders of business if I became super rich would be getting my dream house. I would absolutely happily have multiple properties. I want one to build my dream house and another very specific place for personal, sentimental reasons. Any other homes would be places overseas.
This has me thinking about AirBnB owners. Apparently, the property owners are the most controlling people. While I can understand being hesitant if you aren't rich or are new to the business, I don't assume those reasons are common.
Like, to rent out an AirBnB, you literally have to own another property. That's a huge investment!! No way you can do that while poor. Being hesitant to risk property damage also has its limits. From what I hear, the behaviour extends far beyond reasonable concerns.
I just don't understand why some wildly rich owner of an AirBnB would be so concerned about property damage. Yes, actual damage is offensive, but how many cab drivers deal with abuse in their cars? At the very least, these rich pseudo-landlords can pay for repairs.

Probably naïve of me to say this, but if I ever somehow come into possession of a very large fortune, I'd love to just give the money away to random people. It feels good to be a good person, but you could also just make it very fun. I could use a money gun! I could slip someone a one hundred dollar bill like I'm handing them secret files. The opportunitues are endless!
If I'm ever too wealthy, I'm gonna tape envelopes full of cash to random street poles and such with a note inviting people to take them. I'm gonna scroll through GoFuneMe and Kickstarter campaigns so I can go on a donation spree. I'm gonna donate so much money to the Internet Archive and Wikimedia.

Once, I had these straws that came with flavouring in them to use in milk. The cookies and cream one was divine. I wish I could have it again.

I'm always happy when people compliment my OCs. I like to know what about them appeals to people. It's also nice to be complimented on my actual art and writing.
That's not specific, though, so I'll say that I was once complimented on a dress I was wearing while in a waiting room. I was far too overdressed to be waiting through someone's appointment, so it was very nice to hear. Honestly, I would overdress all the time if I had the clothes. I love to feel fancy.
Q28: favourite way to spend time alone?
My favourite way to spend time alone would be to work on one of my stories. Getting into the groove when writing is always super fun. Speaking of which, I need to get back on that wagon.
I'm also a sucker for daydreaming. Can't pass up the opportunity to make little scenarios in my brain! That said, I do spend too much time on it, haha.
