i think. i will post about it after it happens, but there are some aspects of the system iâm pretty into!! love the occupation versatility, love the more proportional danger of weapons, love how Fragile an investigator feels
iâm scrapping the term âappearanceâ and replacing it with âcharismaâ (because it just sucks yâall, it really sucks. physical appeal as a decider has such obviously negative implications) and iâm gonna be collaborating a lot with the party on character creation (also because we are Not familiar with the system) and maybe tweaking some other rules stuff iâm not into

đ The Terminator đ High Demon, conceived by the Pistol Demon and the War Demonâ A rampant killing machine, made to stop the advance of the Exorcists. Created from a shot corpse, its black mist distorts space-time by conjuring up gunfire from other timelines.
⏠The Obelisk âŹ
You look toward the bow of the ship and raise your gaze until you notice, floating just above the horizon line, a dense, black rectangle. You can only see it in brief flashes of light from the countless lightning strikes dancing across the dark night sky. The shape begins to sprout strange limbs from its lower parts, forming a crude imitation of what should be arms, and finally presses its palms together as if in prayer. The surreal monolith begins to shift, trembling slightly as faces start to emerge across its surface, and on one of its edges, a half-severed face appears.
This presence is too much for all of youâone of the most malevolent things you have ever encountered in your entire lives. Nothing has ever compared to this. In some twisted way, this obelisk of terror exudes an aura, a scent, far more potent than that of even a high-ranking demon.
The absurdity of the situation is shattered by gunfire and screams coming from the deck. As you position yourselves to see what's happening, one of the guards is yelling and shooting at the obelisk, to no apparent effect. The obelisk ceases its prayer with one of its arms and simply points upward. The guard vanishes, leaving only his clothes and weapon behind. The obelisk resumes its prayer, and perhaps, so should you.

đś The Bloody Christmas Incident đś Art i've made as a gift for my first players. I've been DMing a Horror RPG using the Call of Cthulhu 7e system for a long while, and I'm very grateful for my players that are with me this entire journey. I have DMed a long campaing and a lot of oneshots, currently i'm DMing my second big campaign. This art depicts the group from the 1st campaign, there's now only one survivor.
đ´ The Great Ring đ´ The ringed beast hunts its targets by setting traps throughout the Hunting Demon's territory. None could guess its real name, they could only stare in fascination as the red flames consumed both body and mind.
Day 19 - Sensational Session
We had an absolute blast when our group played through Separation Anxiety in Fear's Sharp Little Needles for Call of Cthulhu. I modified the adventure a little bit to suit the group. Content Warning - Madness, Abduction, Harm Against Pregnant Women, Child Sacrifice, Extreme Violence
We had been following this group of characters through their childhood to their adulthood - and one PC's pregnant wife was abducted as a part of this adventure (replacing an npc's role).
The party tracked her to a rural farmstead where they found crazy Nylarthotep worshipping hillbillies performing a deadly ritual. They snuck around with a bloodhound, fought hillbillies with machetes and chainsaws, and found her chained up in the farmhouse. The baby had been removed, and the party contemplated putting her out of her misery. They fought over it, but ultimately decided to spare her. They found the concerned father fighting hillbillies outside after they'd killed their dog. They tried to stop ritual by lighting the cornfields on fire, but ultimately the kid was sacrified to summon the avatar of Nylarthotep. We lost a party member to a chainsaw wielding hillbilly, and the concerned father dueled the monstrous avatar his son was used to summon for way longer than he had any right to. We were all amazed he survived so long, narrowly avoiding killing blows from two hillbillies and the monster itself. So it was devastating when his crazed wife emerged from the farm house and ran him through with a machete - killing him. The group couldn't bring themselves to kill her in turn. The group burned the place to ground and their federal agents allies helped clean up their mess - when the dust settled both Ziggy and his cousin Flynn were dead. His wife Susan was mad with grief, and their unborn son had been sacrificed to a dark god. The adventure had everything - crazed cultist hillbillies, massive fires, evil Nylarthotep avatars walking in corn fields, chainsaw duels, betrayal and character death. To this day, it was the most memorable session of Call of Cthulhu we've ever played.
