FATHER ERIK LOWE

Hello everyone!

This week Father Erik Lowe, a support character for some of the routes, got his re-design. If you’ve played the prologue, you learn he was close to Nina Blake and Altaire Wolfe asks him to help him organize her funeral.

What role he’ll get to play for each character is yet to be seen.

What do you guys think of his new design? We opted to go with a more traditional garment this time around.

BACKGROUND ART: COBBHEIST TOWN

This week we’re sharing the new (re-designed) backgrounds for the town of Cobbheist, where three of our protagonists used to live when they were younger. Shots of Cobbheist’s Church (exterior) were the first set of backgrounds we worked on, so they looked pretty dated against the later ones, so a redesign was in order. We’ve included the old art so you can better compare.

NINA BLAKE

Hello everyone!

So we have a big update this week. Nina Blake got her re-design and this time, we decided to include the “adult” version of her avatar. If you’ve played the Prologue, you know that Nina is dead by the start of the game and it is her funeral which gets our main leads together. However, Evangeline Guthrie and Altaire Wolfe both had dealings with Nina, so her avatar as an “adult” might still make an appearance through flashbacks.

For those who don’t know, Nina Blake is the only known surviving victim of Benjamin “ChainShaw” Shaw. Though she was extremely grateful to her savior, Valeria Shaw, the girls grew apart because the latter disappeared after her trail was over.

Alexandra Valente, meanwhile, is still hunted by the memory of what happened on the last birthday she spent as Valeria Shaw. Most times, the ghost of young Nina Blake pays her a visit, reminding her of her father’s monstrous deeds. Because we wanted to drive home how terrifying those memories are to Alex, we went with a more dramatic and horrific idealization of Nina’s Ghost.
