Having lots of thoughts about this last scene in A Beautiful Disaster, so I just had to gif it. I love that Morgan goes back for one last look at the team in the boardroom, and I love how Reid catches him doing it.
Also, I know it’s a tragic fandom meme of sorts how Reid keeps being abandoned by father figures and friends and we tend to include Morgan in that roster, but I think this scene rightly highlights how Reid does not feel abandoned by Morgan. Reid is telling Morgan ‘it’s okay, go’ here, and I think that’s really lovely.

No one asked but I just finished so here a my criminal minds opinions.
Favourite male character: it’s a tie between Spencer and Hotch. But I can’t choose because I’m letting my infatuation with Reid get in the way
Favourite female character: Emily Prentiss- badass,funny, compassionate- wine mom vibes and a bi-queen you cannot convince me otherwise. Tara comes up close second.
Character I aspire to be: Emily- see above
Character I relate to: Alex Blake- a linguist with complicated family situation- c’est moi
Character I want to be with: does it need saying? Reid. I never really saw this dom energy the internet seems to see (maybe only when he pretended) but I love that intelligent soft dork with hidden trauma nonetheless.
Favourite friendship: Garceid and Moreid. Don’t make me choose but I need a Morgan bff in my life to call me cute pet names and be my biggest supporter. Shoutout to Hotchdad supremacy- loved all his interactions with his children.
Favourite canon ship: I never really felt a romance edge to the show and enjoyed that. I guess Simmons and Kristy had a nice marriage- too many kids though.
Favourite non canon ship: I was disappointed nothing Garvez really materialised tbh. If I had to pick one
Ships I’m really not into: Romantic hotchreid and any ships with unsubs.
Character I liked the least (cus I don’t hate any of them really- except Linda Barnes): Kate or maybe Matt? I just didn’t feel like I connected them as much as all the other “new recruits” over the seasons.
Favourite episode: 4x03 minimal loss- my two faves centre stage.
Favourite season: I can only go by the season that has my most favourite eps (separate post) because I can’t choose. So… looks like season 9?
Favourite Reid era: seasons 7-11. It’s basic but god he was serving looks the whole time
Episode that made me cry: 11x18 - those goodbyes and that last look. I’m tearing up thinking about it.
Most memorable episode: the lesson with the puppets or the one with that unsub who took eyes. Creepy ones stick.
Favourite director: MGG- you can tell within two seconds it’s him. If it’s well shot and creepy you know you’re in for one of his gems.
