Puppetshipping is a funny one, because I was in love with Cloud before I even knew of Sephiroth’s existence! Blame Kingdom Hearts! I fell in love with KH Cloud, and then ACC Cloud. The calm and grownup version who thinks he knows what he is doing and is a good match for Sephiroth. 

I adore!!!1!!1!!!!-love-shipinhell brighteyedinfantryman’s cadet Cloud with my Sephiroth because of their amazing style and portrayal. For me, brighteyedinfantryman​‘s Cloud is THE cadet Cloud.

But I don’t think I could ship Sephiroth with another cadet/childish Cloud (a. I’ve been spoilt rotten by them) (b. I originally was smitten/shipping with the adult Cloud.)

Takes care of on sick daysSephiroth takes care of Cloud when he suffers from Geostigma. He replaces the bandages and kisses the crusts that ooze the black liquid. The more he takes care of the other, the more Cloud likes him and depends on him. When he fully hates himself and is devoted to Sephiroth, he heals. There's no way to fight Seph, so he takes 'learn to live with your demons' seriously. 

After that, neither get sick. 

Picks the other up from the bar when they’re too drunk to driveMy headcanon is that Sephiroth doesn't go out much, doesn't drink, and that alcohol will have little or no effect on him because of his metabolism. So that would mean cadet Cloud would be the pushover who gets drinks handed to him, and is drunk quickly because he wants to. When General Sephiroth walks into the Seventh Heaven, all visitors move aside. He gets glares from Avalance 2.0, because though Cloud has a relationship with him, the rest of the gang still isn't happy. Every time he appears at the bar, Tifa puts down her glass from her shaking hands as if she wants to throw it. She twists the dish towel, usually around her knuckles. Highwind smokes. Valentine never looks at him. Yuffie breaks the silence by calling him a "spoiler!" but Sephiroth doesn't know if it's playful or not. When he looks at her, she shuts up, and presses her lips together..Sephiroth picks Cloud up, turns, and leaves. They go home. As they walk out, the bar remains quiet. 

At home, Sephiroth makes Cloud throw up in the toilet, cleans his mouth, puts him to bed. He wakes him up the next day at 06:00, because such are the rules of SOLDIER.

After a long day of driving around, Cloud casually mentions... something. Sephiroth demands clarification. "...a massage." Cloud mutters. Sephiroth smirks, and immediately provides. Drives/rides shotgunCloud drives, and he tried to convince that riding in the scarred sidecar he has stored in the garage is comfortable, but Sephiroth will have none of it. 

Cloud complained about it once. As a reply, Sephiroth sat down on Fenrir behind Cloud. At the highway, Sephiroth's hands slipped under Cloud's shirt, stroke his tummy. Every hill ground their hips together. Cloud blushed. 

Nowadays Sephiroth braids his own hair and drives his own motorcycle. 

Has the better parental relationshipCloud does. Too bad he can't introduce Sephiroth to his mother.

Embarrassingly drunk dancerSephiroth, when the radio is on and Cloud is at home. Cloud isn't so much of a dancer - too afraid to make a fool of himself. But he likes to watch his partner's body move. It's nice on the eyes.

There are certain songs Sephiroth will dance to. But at certain other songs he will freeze up, bring a hand to his forehead and click the radio off. Then he will not dance for the rest of the eve, and when asked - he'll not say a word. Cloud thinks it may have to do with Hojo.

Still cries watching TitanicCloud does

Firmly believes in couples costumesThey both do. Mostly in the bedrooms. Cloud crossdresses, which he hates because it makes him think of Aerith and cry so damn much. But Sephiroth looks so dashing as princes and knights and villains, he always kisses the tears away. Nine times out of ten, Cloud asks if Sephiroth can wear his SOLDIER uniform. An idol remains an idol, no matter how much Cloud still hates him.

Breaks the expensive gift rule during ChristmasCloud is the one who uses money from Sephiroth's bank account to buy the silver-haired man a motorcycle because don't ever do that thing on the highway again.

Drags the other person into of the water on beach daySephiroth takes Cloud by the hands and guide him into the sea. He makes him move deeper and deeper, until they're at their waists. A large wave catches Sephiroth from behind and splatters water all over him. He's instantly soaked. At that, Cloud gives the first chuckle-laugh in three months. 

Makes the other eat breakfastSephiroth brings Cloud breakfast on bed on the days he stays home. Sephiroth lays down under the blanket and puts his arm between Cloud's tummy and the tray on his knees. They talk softly about non-important things while the blonde eats his breakfast. It's a way of keeping Cloud around, for just a little while longer in the morning, before Sephiroth's forced to do his calculations and scientific research.

Remembers anniversariesCloud counts the years since Aerith's death, Cait's... death, and all those who've fallen. When he's angry, Sephiroth holds him. He hugs him close until he falls apart in tiny pieces, and by the end of the day those puzzle pieces regroup into something that's a little less Cloud, and a little more Remnant.

Brings up having kidsSephiroth instantly dismisses it.

Brings the other lunch at workSephiroth flies to the end of the world when Cloud asks if they maybe could have lunch together at a restaurant.

Gives nose/forehead kissesSephiroth, because Cloud is shorter and that's the easiest place he can reach him. He only has to go through his knees to reach the delivery man.
