I will probably add a more info later but here's some of the stuff. Vessels aren't mute, but I think Ghost still is mute. Hornet is a lot kinder being open about helping Ghost pretty early after the first fight. She also is a lot more openly remorseful and regretful. Vessels aren't made of void, they're made of light and shades are called glares. The Radiance is a good guy, she is also partially the goddess of lifeblood. Lifeblood here is what protects Hollownest, but when the Pale King, well the Dim King in this case, showed up he ends up wanting to get rid of The Radiance. The Radiance was locked away, which caused lifeblood creatures to go berserk without being able to connect to The Radiance. Lifeblood started to die out, which used repress infection filled cocoons (the things that normally lifeblood cocoons in the normal game are now orange infection like cocoons). Infection isn't the main problem, but there is still a lot of death. I don't think the vessels are still going to be the King and Queen's kids, but the Dim King still uses them. The vessels all love The Radiance and even help to protect the lifeblood when the Dim King shows up. The Hollow Knight was the one to be chosen by the Dim King. Partially because Hollow was the strongest vessel at the time and the most promising in their growth. Hollow ends up pretty much brained washed into the Pure Vessel and does the Dim King's bidding. Hollow stops speaking and ends up sealing The Radiance in them. The Black Egg will be called the White Egg. In the White Egg, lifeblood can't survive and dies very quickly upon entering; this is why the Hollow Knight stays here because The Radiance is severely weaken in there. Hollow became cold, silent, and would stand similar to the Pale Vessel in game (at the start of their fight) Kin is pretty brave and protects the fountain where vessels get their monarch wings. The fountain probably has some more power or something since Kin is protecting it. The place in front of it (the place where you fight Kin) is covered in lifeblood even after The Radiance was sealed. The way to the fountain is hidden and still is by the game starting time. Hollow, after being brain washed, was the one who killed Kin. They caught Kin off guard because they trusted Hollow, Kin was then over powered and killed by bashing Kin's mask in. But being surrounded by lifeblood was brought back to life, although they only wake up after Ghost finds them. A fight starts immediately after and after Ghost wins, Kin calms down. They explain that their memory was basically fighting Hollow, blacking out, then Ghost, so they were still in the fight or flight mind set. After apologizing and saying Ghost seems trust worthy, they let them to the fountain to get the monarch wings. A second dream fight can still be done as friendly sparing and since you can't die in the dream world Kin says they can go all out. Kin is brave (for the most part), energetic, and a pretty good fighter. They stand up tall and really care about others and feels especially pained when their siblings are hurt or killed. Cloh, the Greenpath vessel, is a smaller vessel who is shy and barely living with the small amount of lifeblood in them. Hornet is the one who gets the small amount of lifeblood for them, which was why Hornet was in Greenpath in the first place when Ghost finds them. Hornet in a bit of a panic attacks Ghost thinking they will act like The Hollow Knight since as far as she knew no other vessels were still alive (that or they should all be locked up in the Abyss, safe but locked up). Ghost and Hollow knew each other and were really close, Hollow, after being brain washed, tried to kill Ghost (think falling in Abyss scene), but unknowingly failed. Stuff happened (either left Hollownest or was like in a sleep like coma, or something) which ends up with Ghost coming back to Hollownest to save it and The Radiance... and Hollow too, hopefully.
