Are we shocked? Are surprised? You shouldn’t be

i know that a big thing about the game that helps to separate it from silksong is the fact that its story is no doubt the bleaker of the two and i also know that tiso is a joke character and the argument that him not really getting closure is fitting in its own way but man i just wish that we were given the opportunity to actually save more people.

in the case of tiso i can see it being pretty much the same as what we get with zote in the sense that you encounter him in the colosseum of fools, except this time you actually get an epic fight sequence with him that doesn't result in him dying.

cut to the end of the game where if you choose to head back up to dirtmouth one last time before you fight the pure vessel you can find him standing on the outskirts of town and have a final chat with him.

being the arrogant guy that he is, he'd probably still be a prick like he is in his previous interactions only now it'd be a bit worse since he actually got defeated. a "you were lucky this time" kinda situation. and/or he'd gloss over the fact that he got his ass beat and just talk about leaving for another society of bugs due to hallownest being too boring and full of "weaklings".

anyways then you can dream nail him and learn that he now sorta respects you for besting him in combat and he's lowkey itching for another go against you (similar to the hunter's dialogue when you complete his journal) but he's already made his decision to move on and something tells him that you won't be sticking around for much longer either.
