Rewatching the fellowship tonight and just got to the scene where frodo trips on cradhras and the ring falls off in the snow.. and idk if yall have ever worn a cloak but as someone who literally wears a cloak most days from September to May and every day that it rains, things definitly don't won't just fall off you? I carry bags under my cloak I wear necklaces all kinds of stuff and I do believe that you could literally shake me upside down by my feet and I wouldn't loose a necklace, even one on as long a chain as the ring. If it was laying above the cloak it might fall if it didn't get tangled in the pin but one hanging on the inside of the cloak, under the pin even if it were on top of the cloths underneath would never fall off.. ever. The physics are just not there
