Clint sleeps past his alarm and it takes the combination of Bucky and Jarvis to wake him up in time for the Avengers' Meeting. Clint doesn't wanna be late - the last time he did, Steve made him wash dishes by hand for a month.

Here's my rendition of that famous scene from 2012 Hawkeye. Fair warning, it's NSFW and this is a very stupid fic.

The alarm had been going off for thirteen minutes and fifty-two seconds.

Bucky was counting the seconds down from where he’d laid on the bed, staring at the ceiling, and counting the seconds between the individual blares. All while Clint laid asleep beside him - completely unaware the alarm was going off because of him.

Clint Barton could sleep through a bomb going off - to his credit, he had.

Bucky had attempted to wake him up but each time Clint had ignores his efforts. He was close to just pouring cold water on his face, but that would involve getting out of bed and Bucky didn’t want that.

”Mr. Barton,” JARVIS’s voice filled their bedroom and Bucky could sense the annoyment in him. “You have precisely seventeen minutes and thirty-three seconds before the Avengers meeting begins. Everyone has arrived and they are patiently waiting for you, Mr. Barton. Captain Rogers says if you’re not here by the agreed upon time, he’ll give you dish duty for a month.”

Bucky snorted into his pillow, attempting to nudge Clint again and only earned a snort himself. Dish duty sounded like a nightmare with the dish washer on the fritz.

Clint snorted into his pillow in response and Bucky shifted aware from him as he stared to feel him shift around. That should’ve done it, Clint was starting to come to it now. Thank God.

“MR. BARTON!”

That did it -

Clint sat straight up with a strangled yelp, like someone had slapped him awake (and considering Bucky’s position here, he was close to doing that himself). He looked around for the source of the noise, hair standing up in every direction and one hearing aid dangling from his ear.

“Wha’s?” His voice slurred with sleep, hand rubbing over his face to attempt to fight off the sleep. “Where’s the - the fire? J?”
