It’s crazy how ridiculously unreasonable some people can be. We just had a client of ours that’s been coming to this clinic for decades decide he needs to find a new vet because we couldn’t exchange some medication that he had purchased that he thought was the wrong size but actually isn’t. His dog is right on the edge of the weight dosage line for this medicine so what he got is the correct dosage but he’s convinced he needs the next size up and I would have been perfectly happy to sell him that but I cannot exchange it for what he already bought since it has left the building. So one little misunderstanding and he’s decided he needs to go somewhere else, despite decades of service we’ve provided for him and never had a problem.

Client dropping off his dog for a dental cleaning: “Yeah he’s already had blood work done a few months ago” proceeds to show me an invoice that shows he did in fact have blood work done but doesn’t show the results of said blood work because that makes sense. Everyone knows we don’t actually need results from tests just proof that you’ve spent money /s

So your dog ate something on Friday that made her sick and she vomited all weekend and continued to have vomiting episodes on Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday but you waited until Thursday to call and expect us to bend over backwards to make room for you in our extremely full appointment schedule…

We have a client that is about to use all our patience. We have done everything we are capable of doing for her dog and have recommended she go to the veterinary college to get further diagnostic work done because we don’t know what’s wrong. But she refuses to go, and I don’t know if it’s money related (I wouldn’t think so since she keeps wasting money here for us to tell her the same thing) or what but we don’t have the equipment to do anything else for her and she just keeps wanting us to spot patch her dog but she isn’t willing to try and find out what’s actually going on.

Love when people try to tell us how to do our job, if you’re such an expert why even come here? Just do it yourself!
