I haven't seen the Broadway version yet. Of course, they said they'd bring it to Korea in 2028. I'll compare the original Korean version with the musical film. I've been watching "maybe happy endings" consistently in Korea since 2020.

The musical film's opening is fast-paced. John and Soyeon (Mido in the Broadway version) don't appear. While Oliver waits in his room for the postman—and meets Claire—the third number is "Thank You, Oliver." After Oliver and James' memories were told, they set a time. Claire couldn't seem to fix the charger on her own.

Oliver and Claire set their chargers on time for a few months, and then John comes out to show them a sore leg, and there's no jokingly saying, "I've got a gum on my head!" Claire says, "I'm going to apologize," and then there's nothing in Oliver's room with flowers. Good James would tell him to help out with the helper." It turns out that Oliver makes money on bills by saving money before he met Claire to collect parts to avoid breaking down rather than going to find James. Oliver doesn't pick up empty bottles in the movie.

Claire and Oliver are driving to Jeju Island, and there's a scene where she suddenly stops and Oliver is pulling the car from behind, and the humor is a little bit about trying to get help from a human being and failing. In the movie, Oliver can be seen wearing a yellow raincoat. In musicals, there is a shadow play to soothe Claire in the latter part of the ending, but in the movie, she brings parts to help her.
