Cleto is a picturesque, traditional village of Calabria (South Italy) built by the Normans on the slopes of Monte Sant'Angelo on the top of which they built a castle overlooking the valley to the sea, it offers many local amenities: grocery shops, bakers, café bars, post office, pizzeria etc.
The village is set approx. 200m above sea level providing excellent year-round temperatures with hot summers and mild winter months. The vegetation is typical of the Mediterranean, the area is completely covered by olive trees and the nearby area of Savuto produces excellent wine from cultivating grapes. Oil production is also one of the essential resources of the local economy.
