Good morning from Lustin, Belgium.
Some of my writing in my last fic as well as the lighting in the render that goes with it was inspired by these photos I took at Washington National Cathedral. It was so cool to walk along the clerestory and see the stained glass up close.
Though it's a modern neo-Gothic structure, it still demonstrates the Gothic architectural ideal put forth by Abbot Suger of the Abby of St. Denis in the 12th century. I love medieval architecture.
