maybe, but she couldn't help the pounding in her heart every time clawd wolf spoke or interacted with her.

and when draculaura realized that her feelings for him went far beyond flirting at school, she was scared. she was afraid of giving herself to something that wouldn't last or wasn't true.

it was at a party at cleo's house that everything changed.

clawd had been drinking during the party, that's true, but he didn't seem to be drunk at all when he came to talk to draculaura. his words sounded meticulously chosen, almost as if he'd been rehearsing this beforehand. his eyes were still glowing and she almost thought she might be falling under a spell. that's when she heard him loud and clear, with all the words.

"i'm in love with you. and maybe it's weird because you're my sister's best friend, but i don't care. you're definitely the coolest girl i've ever met in my entire life and i can't sleep at night because all i think about is your pink eyes and how you laugh at my stupid jokes. i'd like to go out with you, if that's okay?"

draculaura was paralyzed , she didn't know if she had heard correctly or if she was hallucinating. could that be true? was clawd wolf really confessing to her?

she was snapped out of her thoughts when she noticed the silence and embarrassed expression on his face, cutting off whatever he thought to say next with a hug.

"you mean like... a date?" she asked feeling his arms encircle her waist.

"yeah...is this weird?" he asked quietly.

"not at all, I'd love to go on a date with you." She smiled with her face pressing into his shoulder.

draculaura and clawd spent the rest of the party looking at each other in every corner of the party, looking forward to the day when they would go out alone, with no one to get in the way.

Months passed and Draculaura couldn't believe how lucky she was. clawd wolf really was the perfect guy. he was everything she ever wanted and could ask for. he was kind, caring, loving and understood her like no one else. even though he had his differences he always preferred to sit and talk than argue, nothing would make him more upset than fighting with his favorite girl.

if ever draculaura thought that love wasn't for her, now she was sure she was wrong. She learned every day what it was like to love and be truly loved.
