I saw this and the French discussion every couple of weeks really annoys me. I never thought he was supposed to sound French. There’re French elements in his accent but he always sounded “worldly” to me. Like a weird compilation of accents. Sam has said it too, that’s how he plays him… as a “weird” accent. Why are people so attached to Lestat needing to have a pure and proper French accent?
I was watching Sam’s interview with Emsolation podcast about Newsreader and the host/writer for Newsreader said that Smalltown Boy by Bronski Beat would describe Dale and Sam goes “I don’t know why but this song keeps coming up on my Spotify DJ”. Haha that’s like the first song on JO’s playlist titled “Sam Reid”. Too funny 😂

Sam Reid is a natural blonde. A lot depends on the lighting in pictures. Even what you see at the top of his head in these, at the roots is considered blonde… some people call it strawberry blonde or dirty blonde. Then overtime, in the sun and natural elements it gets lighter. So the ends will always look lighter than the roots. In some lighting Sam’s hair has a reddish tint. He said himself that at some point in his life when he lived in London his hair turned red. You can also tell by the color of his eyebrows. This is a blonde man… in no way is his hair brunette or dark.
