The Spirit of Postmodernism * Designed by Harrison Cultra for producer and writer Sam Hall and his wife, the actor Grayson Hall, the designer employed a near textbook example of Postmodernism. What, at first, appear to be blocks of stone is in fact translucent sheets of paper applied to painted walls. * In the living room an Empire fauteuil, an antique Japanese table, a 19th-century Thebes stool, and a pre-Columbian pot provide a witty blend of styles and periods. * Propped against the firebox beneath the mantel is a work by Kenneth Evett. The painting above the long sofa is by Sandro Chia.
