Derwentwater Mirror by Pete Rowbottom Via Flickr: Blue skies, a lot of the time totally useless for photography, however a gorgeous still early morning on Derwentwater with just the 2 tiny clouds provided a chance to get this mirrored image in the lake with the sunning running down the sides of the hills, a cloudy strewn sky I think would have cluttered this shot too much and taken away from the simplicity of it. Whilst I was editing this shot I decided to flip it 90 degrees vertical purely out of interest with the symmetrical nature of it, apart from being quite striking as an abstract pattern when you look at it you can see about 6 or 7 faces on the patterns running from top to bottom, very strange! I didn't want to post that one on here as it was a little bit 'out there' but (if you don't mind getting a sore neck) have a look and see if you can pick any out.
Autumnal reflections by Pete Rowbottom Via Flickr: Another shot from Autumn with the golden colours in full swing, a lone photographer on the opposite side is also reflected into the very calm and tranquil Blea Tarn.
